Summer Camps and Conferences

2013 Staff

Lois Kubinak, CCEP

Hi! I am the director of conferences and a certified Collegiate Conference and Events Professional through the Association of College Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I). This is my 12th summer working with conferences. Welcome to Albright!

Nikki Kohler

Hey! I’m Nikki and I am a soon to be junior here at Albright College. I major in Environmental Science/Marine Aquatics and love everything that has to deal with the ocean. I love being a part of the Albright Family by participating as a POP, being an overnight host, a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, as well as a member of the environmental campus outreach club. The only way I could express my love for Albright more is to work for Summer Conferences! I am a very outgoing  individual so feel free to come and say hi!

Sarah Timmons '13

My name is Sarah Timmons and I am a recent graduate from the class of 2013. I my major was a combination of my passions: English literature and studio art. In that way, you could say my specialty is creativity. I'm very much a people person as well, and that's what drew me to the close-knit community at Albright. As this college has become my home, I'm happy to be returning to the Summer Conferences Office for my third year.

Blanche Helbling

Hi, everyone! I’m Blanche Helbling and I am an English major/ Photography minor in my junior year at Albright. Over the past two years, I have been active in basically all organizations that involve writing- namely, The Albrightian, the AGON, and the Arts Magazine- as well as the Domino Players. Without a doubt, the time I’ve spent at Albright has been the most creative and stimulating period of my life and easily the most fun.

Ellie Herman

My name is Ellie Herman, and I’m going to be a junior in the fall. I came to Albright because I felt a vibe that I liked, and I have never regretted the decision. As a psychology major, I intend to continue my education at graduate school to specialize in depression. I am the Business Manager for The Albrightian and the treasurer for the Albright Arts Magazine, and I tutor at the Writing Center. My years at Albright have been fun and successful, and I have no doubt the trend will continue.

Megan Gaughan

My name is Megan Gaughan and I will be a sophomore of the Class of 2016. Throughout my freshman year at Albright, I played softball and plan on continuing throughout my college career. I am a psychology and sociology co-concentration major with a family studies track. Attending Albright has allowed me to gain valuable experience in and out of the classroom and I’m looking forward to the years to come.

Helen Anderson '13

Hello! Greetings and Salutations! My name is Helen Anderson and I am recent graduate of Albright College with a degree in history. I am also planning to student teach this coming fall semester to complete my Secondary Education teacher certification. This will be my third year as a Summer Conference Assistant, and I am looking forward to a really great summer, full of learning and new experiences. I enjoy working with children and adolescents as well as meeting new people and interacting with my peers. I enjoy organizing and practicing service excellence. My motto for this summer is: Peace. Love. Summer Conferences.

Dan McGurl

My name is Dan McGurl I am an upcoming junior studying Environmental Studies and Political Science. I am currently an RA in Albright Court and the Family Relations and Community service chair of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity on campus. I am an avid advocate to community and social service and hope to use my education to help others. In my free time I enjoy running, cycling, reading, cooking and kayaking.

Anthony Workman

My name is Anthony Workman II and I am an upcoming junior here at Albright College as a biology major my freshman year, but realized after the first semester that fashion was my passion. I am currently the treasurer for Albright College Gospel Ensemble, Vice President of South Asian Student Association, and SGA representative for Club Vogue. I am dedicated to my work on the campus, whether educational, professional, or extra-curricular.

Anna Berzins '12

My name is Anna Berzins and I am a graduate student studying for a master’s degree in special education at Albright College. Albright has been my second home these past few years and I’ve enjoyed the ups and downs of the rollercoaster ride. I student taught this past spring at Oley Valley MS and Muhlenberg Elementary Center. The best piece of advice that my cooperating teachers told me was to find humor in everything, otherwise the job will be much too hard to handle. I’ve learned that in Summer Conferences, that piece of advice also works. Our work is like a puzzle, and sometimes we need some humor to fit all the pieces together for our guests to enjoy the best experience possible at our school.

Sean A. Snyder '12

Hello, my name is Sean Snyder and I am currently working to earn my Masters degree in Secondary Education at Albright College after graduating from Albright in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I recently completed student teaching at Daniel Boone High School and Northeast Middle School to earn my teacher certification in Secondary Social Studies. This will be my fourth summer working for the Albright Summer Conferences Office and I always look forward to the new experiences and opportunities to grow that this job provides. While an undergraduate, I was very involved as Student Government Treasurer, Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Vice President, and founder of the Oxfam America Club. I am an extremely dedicated person who values patriotism, compassion, and integrity above all else. I look forward to making your experience at Albright an enjoyable one and hope you will spend your summer with us in the future.
