2:00 p.m. Mandatory Practice Line-up for all Graduates (Campus Center Main Lounge)
2:30 p.m. Doors open to Memorial Chapel—begin seating guests
3:15 p.m. Faculty Robing for Baccalaureate
4:00 p.m. Baccalaureate Service (Memorial Chapel)
                - Baccalaureate Speaker: Lex O. McMillan III, 14th President of Albright College


Jacob Albright Society (by invitation only)
5:30 p.m. Jacob Albright Scholars Lifetime Induction Dinner & Ceremony (Dining Hall)


Sunday, May 21
7:30 a.m.         Seating area on Science Field opens to guests
8:45 a.m.        Robing for Commencement
10:00 a.m.     Commencement Ceremony (Science Field)
                           Traditional undergraduate, ADP, and graduate students

    • Commencement Speaker: K. Neil Van Dine ’88, Founder and Country Director, Haiti Outreach, Inc.
    • Receiving honorary degrees:
      • K. Neil Van Dine ’88 – Commencement Speaker
      • Dr. Sun Hye Hwang, Past President, Sookmyung Women’s University, South Korea
      • Karen A. Rightmire ’69, Trustee Emerita and President of the Wyomissing Foundation
      • Bishop Stephen Gill Spottswood, class of 1917, Past Chairman, NAACP  (posthumous degree)

President’s Luncheon
12:30 p.m. (time approx.)     President’s Private Lunch (Center for the Arts, Roop Hall—by invitation only)

ALL Graduates Light Fare Reception (Campus Center Dining Hall—tickets not required)
12:30 p.m. (time approx.)     There will be a Light fare Reception for ALL graduates and their families in the Campus Center Dining Hall. This Reception is hosted by the Albright Faculty and signs will be posted for the graduates and their families to gather by traditional day academic disciplines, ADP, and graduate program.  All faculty, administrators, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend to say farewell to the Class of 2017. 

Note:  6:00am deadline for decision on moving Commencement from Science Field to the Bollman Gym due to severe and dangerous weather—decision will be announced by 7am.  If moved to Bollman Gym the ceremony will be abbreviated and diplomas distributed.
