At Albright College, students do not earn a degree in education. Students complete a co-concentration in a liberal arts subject area and certification courses. Candidates for the special education certificate have two degree options:

Option One - Full concentration with certification:
Completion of full concentration for degree with addition of courses required for certification.
Courses in concentration area....... 10-12 units

General Studies.............................. 12-16 units

Option Two - Co-concentration Combined program for degree:

for the Certification in Special Education. In order to comply with NCLB legislation requirements for preparation of highly qualified teachers, Albright only offers a combined elementary education/special education certificate program.
