Gina-Lyn Crance joined Albright College in 2007. She came from Hofstra University, where she spent 17 years working in various positions within the student affairs division.
Crance joined Hofstra University in early 1990 as an academic adviser. By late 1993 she was promoted to assistant dean of students and, by mid-1995 she advanced to senior assistant dean of students and director of the International Students Office. In 1997, she became the associate dean of students and director of freshman support services. She was named Hofstra's dean of students following a national search in 2001. As dean of students, she provided leadership to more than 300 professional and paraprofessional staff and was actively involved in student judicial affairs, multicultural programming, honors college residence hall and commuting students affairs.
Crance holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Hofstra University, a master of arts in marriage and family counseling from Hofstra, and a master of education from Teachers College, Columbia in higher education administration. She also holds a doctorate of education from Hofstra University in foundations, leadership and policy studies.
