Albright College Campus Calendar Procedures

Albright College's online Campus Calendar is a master listing of campus events designed to enhance the College community's awareness of programs and activities.

The Campus Calendar Committee has developed the following guidelines for having items posted and corrected on the calendar:

TO REQUEST POSTING OF AN EVENT / GENERAL INFORMATION

  • There are individuals from campus departments authorized to make entries on the calendar. See the list here.
  • Members of the campus community must contact the designated calendar liaison in their department.
  • Only approved events can be posted on the calendar.
  • An approved event is one that has been submitted to the proper office and has received confirmation of time, place and date. This is handled through an e-mail request to the appropriate office.
  • All requests for room reservations must follow the current procedure as described on the Conferences Room Request Form at http://admin.albright.edu/.
    • The Campus Calendar will not serve as the reservation confirmation.
  • There is no limit on the number of events that can be posted to the calendar.
  • Four types of events can be posted to the calendar:
    • Events open to the public, for example, the Hurwitz Lecture Series. These also include many Experience Events.
    • Events open only to the Albright College community
    • Other meetings.
    • Information about other Albright events such as open houses.
  • Events can be labeled as private. When using this option, however, the public view of the calendar will not show the event at all, but the time will be marked as "unavailable."
  • Lois Kubinak and Dave Markowski are the Campus Calendar administrators and will troubleshoot on campus and serve as liaisons to the Web Event Calendar. Questions about the calendar should be directed to them, however they are not responsible for entering events into the calendar.
  • Current calendars such as the Athletics Calendar, Alumni Calendar, Experience Events Calendar, Fine Arts Calendar and the Cultural Events Calendar will continue to be posted by Dave Markowski in College Relations. However, a separate entry will need to be made to the Campus Calendar because the current plan does not permit us to import information from one server to the other.

Finally, if you have concerns unique to your area, first contact the appropriate area vice president.
