March 1, 2008: MAC Indoor Championships
Selinsgrove, PA - Sophomore Brianne Genter won the 200 meter dash at the MAC Indoor Championship meet Saturday afternoon at Susquehanna University. Genter captured the only title of the day for Albright by covering the 200 meters in 25.15 seconds, edging Misericordia's Sue Bochnovich by three one-hundredths of a second for her first career title. She also placed second in the 55 meter dash, finishing in 7.60 seconds. Genter was responsible for 18 of Albright's 29 team points at the meet. Freshman Shannon Finley had a good day at MAC's, placing in two events. She placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15' 7 3/4", and also took sixth in the 55 meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 9.57 seconds. Sophomore De'on Mallory was the final individual place-winner for the Lady Lions, as she finished fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 32' 7 1/2". The Lady Lion 4 x 200 meter relay team of Finley, Genter, Meghan Loos, and Erica Zapata placed fifth with a time of 1:53.69 for Albright's final two team points. The Lady Lions finished sixth out of eight teams in the meet.
The Albright men had a good meet as well, led by senior John Barkley's second-place finish in the mile run. Barkley's time of 4:27.85 was less than a second behind Messiah's Cory Kauffman, and was the Albright men's top individual finish of the meet. Freshmen Chris Donisi and Dwight Savoy each placed in two events for the Lions. Donisi took fifth place in both the long jump and triple jump. In the long jump he cleared 21' 1/2", while in the triple jump he took fifth with a leap of 39' 10 1/2". Savoy tied for fourth place in the high jump, clearing 5' 10", then captured fifth place in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.61 seconds. Albright was strong in the relay events, scoring points in three different relays. The best relay finish for the Lions came in the 4 x 800 meter relay, as Robert Kellert, Ricky Brown, Dan Dalton, and Alex Rodgers finished with a time of 8:57.82 to cross the line in fourth place. In the distance medley relay, Rodgers and Brown were joined by Jacob Goldberg and Spencer Shaak to take fifth place in 11:27.97. The final relay points for Albright came in the 4 x 400 meter relay, as Savoy, Donisi, and Barkley teamed with Rob Kenney to place sixth in 3:47.66. Albright finished the meet with 24 team points to place seventh out of eight teams.

February 16, 2008: Albright Invitational
Reading, PA - Albright hosted the Albright Invitational Saturday afternoon in the LifeSports Center. The Lions and Lady Lions each scored wins over Delaware Valley in the meet, with the men winning 79-31 and the women scoring a 67-51 win.
Freshman Chris Donisi led the way for the men, winning both the long jump and the triple jump. He took the long jump with a leap of 21' 1 1/2" and the triple jump by clearing 39' 5 1/4". Donisi also finished in a tie for second place in the 55 meter dash. Junior Rob Kenney won the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.1 seconds, took second in the 400 meter dash, and finished in a second-place tie with Donisi in the 55 meter dash in 6.9 seconds. Senior John Barkley won the mile run for the Lions, finishing in 4:37.9. Junior Spencer Shaak took third in the mile in 4:52.4. Senior Ricky Brown collected a second-place finish in the 3000 meter run, finishing in 10:14.8, and sophomore Dan Dalton was second in the 800 meter run in 2:16.3. Albright was very strong in the throwing events as well on Saturday. Sophomore Ryan Thomas won the weight throw with a toss of 40' 8 1/4". He led a 1-2-3 Albright finish, with freshman Andy Hettinger placing second and freshman Tony Pellegrino taking third. Pellegrino won the shot put, coming up with a throw of 39' 4" to take first place. Finally for the Lions, freshman Dwight Savoy placed in four events, taking second place in the high jump, and 55 meter hurdles and third place in the long jump and triple jump.
For the Lady Lions, freshman Shannon Finley led the way, winning two events and also adding a second and a third place finish to complete her day. She won the 55 meter hurdles in 9.3 seconds, and also finished first in the long jump with a leap of 15' 6". Finley also finished second in the pole vault and third in the 400 meter dash. Albright swept the distance runs, with three seniors doing the honors for the Lady Lions. Jo Jo Ward won the mile run in 5:57.2, Sami Nimmerichter took the 3000 meter run in 13:33.8, and Becca White captured the 5000 meter run in 20:24.3. Sophomore De'on Mallory picked up her third win of the season in the triple jump, covering 33' 3" to pick up the win. Freshman Meghan Loos finished first in the high jump, clearing 4' 4" for her first victory of the season. Albright also got a win in the weight throw, as sophomore Erica Zapata out-distanced the field with a throw of 27' 4". Sophomore Brianne Genter took second place in three sprints, the 55, 200, and 400 meter dashes. Loos added to her high jump title with a second-place finish in the 800 meter run, and junior Renisha Conway took second place in the long jump and third place in the triple jump to complete the place-winners for Albright.
February 11, 2008: Haverford Quad
Haverford, PA - Freshman Chris Donisi won the long jump to lead Albright at the Haverford Quad Monday afternoon. Donisi pulled off a leap of 21' 5 ½ to best the field by more than a full foot. He also ran in the 55 meter dash, placing fifth with a time of 6.98 seconds. Junior Rob Kenney was sixth in the 55 meter dash in 7.08 seconds. Freshman Dwight Savoy placed for the Lions in the high jump, clearing a height of 5' 8 ¾ to tie for fourth place. The Albright women also had a successful meet, led by sophomore sprinter Brianne Genter. Genter finished second in the 200 meter dash, finishing with a time of 27.78 seconds, and also took third in the 55 meter dash in 7.73 seconds. Freshman Shannon Finley also placed in two events, capturing second-place in the 55 meter hurdles in 9.88 seconds, then taking sixth place in the long jump with a leap of 14' 6 ¾. Junior Renisha Conway took second place in the triple jump, covering 30' 5 ½ with her best jump of the day. Three Lady Lions took home third place finishes as well, with freshman Meghan Loos taking third in the 400 meter dash, senior Jo Jo Ward coming in third in the 5,000 meter run, and sophomore Erica Zeiters placing third in the pole vault.

February 9, 2008: Widener Invitational
Chester, PA - Freshmen Dwight Savoy and Chris Donisi and sophomore De'on Mallory all collected victories for Albright at the Widener Invitational meet Saturday afternoon in Chester. Savoy won the high jump, clearing a height of 5' 8 to pick up the win. He also finished third in the 55 meter hurdles, finishing in 9.08 seconds. Donisi won the long jump for the Lions, and met the ECAC qualifying standard in the process. His jump of 21' 6 outdistanced all the competition and qualified him for the ECAC meet in March. Freshman Tony Pellegrino was the other place winner for the men on Saturday, as he finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 42' 1 ¼. Mallory won the triple jump for the Lady Lions, covering a distance of 32' 9 ½ to win the competition. It is her second victory of the 2007-08 indoor season. Junior Renisha Conway added a fifth place finish for Albright in the long jump with a leap of 14' 4 ½.
February 2, 2008: Frank Coldren Invitational
Collegeville, PA -
Brianne Genter placed in two events and Becca White set a new school record in the 1,000 meter run to lead Albright at the Frank Coldren Invitational Saturday afternoon. Genter finished second out of 41 competitors in the 200 meter dash, completing the race in 27.64 seconds. She also took seventh place in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.80 seconds. White covered the 1,000 meters in 3:31.45 to set a new school mark. She finished eighth in the race. Meghan Loos turned in a strong performance in the 400 meter dash, crossing the line in 1:05.10 to take fifth place. The Lady Lions also picked up a sixth-place finish in the 4 x 200 meter relay, as Shannon Finley, Meghan Loos, Erica Zapata, and Brianne Genter teamed up to finish in 1:56.78.
For the Albright men, Chris Donisi led the way with a third-place finish in the long jump. Donisi earned the place with a leap of 20' 9 ¾. Rob Kenney took seventh place in the 400 meter dash, finishing with a time of 54.65 seconds. The men also had success in a relay, taking sixth place in the 4 x 800 meter relay. January 25, 2008: Muhlenberg Invitational
Bethlehem, PA -
Sophomore De'on Mallory won the triple jump with a leap of 33' ½ to headline a strong day for Albright at the Muhlenberg Invitational Friday night. Mallory was one of four Lady Lions to place on in the meet. Sophomore Brianne Genter had a big night, placing in two events. She took second place in the 55 meter dash, finishing in a time of 7.81 seconds, then finished fifth in the 200 meter dash in 28.34. Freshman Shannon Finley was fifth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.84 seconds, and junior Renisha Conway took fifth in the long jump, covering 13' 8 ¾, to complete the list of place-winners for the Lady Lions.
For the Albright men, freshman Chris Donisi and junior Rob Kenney each picked up a second-place finish to lead the Lions. Donisi took second place in the long jump, leaping 21' 5 ½. Kenney picked up his second-place finish in the 200 meter dash, finishing with a time of 24.69 seconds. Kenney and Donisi also placed in the 55 meter meter dash, with Kenney taking fourth in 7.01 seconds and Donisi placing sixth with a time of 7.04 seconds. Freshman Tony Pellegrino captured fourth place in the shot put for Albright with a throw of 41' 9 ¾, and freshman Justin Jones was fifth in the high jump at 5' 8 to round out the place winners for the Lions.

January 19, 2008: Collegeville Invitational
Collegeville, PA - Sophomore Brianne Genter placed in two races to lead Albright at the Collegeville Invitational Saturday afternoon. Genter finished third in the 200 meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 28.20. She also placed seventh in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.84 seconds. Sophomore De'on Mallory also placed for the women in individual competition, as she took fifth place in the triple jump with a lead of 32' 4 ¾. Albright's 4 x 300 meter relay team turned in a strong performance, finishing in second place. Genter, sophomore Erica Zapata, and freshmen Shannon Finley and Meghan Loos combined to finish the race in 1:58.55. For the Albright men, sophomore Matt Robinson captured fourth place in the shot put with a throw that covered 44' 1 ¼. Freshman Chris Donisi was the other place-winner for the Lions in the meet, as he finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 20' 3 ¾.
January 12, 2008: F&M Invitational
Lancaster, PA - The Albright men and women competed in the F&M Invitational Saturday afternoon in Lancaster. The Lady Lions turned in a strong performance, including wins in two events. Sophomore De'on Mallory won the triple jump with a leap of 32' 6 ¾, and freshman Shannon Finley took first place in the 55 meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in a time of 9.63 seconds. Junior Brianne Genter had a good afternoon, as place second in both the 55 meter and 200 meter dashes. Freshman Meghan Loos was right behind Genter for third place in the 55 meter dash, and also captured second place in the high jump. Junior Tomesha Campbell placed in two events as well fro the Lady Lions, taking third in the 800 meter run and fifth in the mile run. Junior Renisha Conway rounded out the place-winners for Albright in the meet with a third-place finish in the triple jump. For the men, sophomore Matt Robinson led an impressive performance in the throwing events. Robinson won the shot put, coming up with a winning throw of 42' 10. Robinson was followed by freshman Tony Pellegrino, who placed second in the shot put, and freshman Andy Hettinger, who finished fifth. In the weight throw, Robinson, Pellegrino, and Hettinger finished 2-3-4. Freshman Chris Donisi was the final place-winner for Albright on the afternoon, as he took second place in the long jump.

December 8, 2007: Ursinus Indoor Classic
Collegeville, PA - Albright opened the 2007-08 season at the Ursinus Indoor Classic Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Matt Robinson (Reading, PA/Reading) and junior Bob Kenney (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) led the Lion men, with each collecting a sixth-place finish in the meet. Robinson picked up his sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 43' 4. Kenney took sixth in the 200 meter dash, finishing with a time of 23.90. For the women, senior Becca White (Fredericktown, PA/Bethlehem Center) placed seventh in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:45.32. Junior Renisha Conway (Saylorsurg, PA/Pleasant Valley) finished seventh in the triple jump with a lead of 32' 2 ¾, while sophomore De'on Mallory (Paterson, NJ/John F. Kennedy) placed was right behind Conway in eighth place with a jump that covered 31' 6. The Lady Lions also placed in the sprint medley relay, as junior Tomesha Campbell (East Orange, NJ/East Orange), sophomore Brianne Genter (Clintondale, NY/Walkill), and freshmen Meghan and Shannon Loos (Reading, PA/Twin Valley) finished the race in 4:45.58 to take 5th place.
