Stephen Asay Named ECAC South East Region All-Star
Reading, PA – Senior wide receiver Stephen Asay (Gibbstown, NJ/Paul VI) has been named an ECAC Division III South East Region All-Star, it was announced on Tuesday. Asay was named an MAC All-Conference First-Team selection in November. Asay emerged as the top receiver in the MAC this fall. His combination of size and speed proved to be nearly unstoppable for Lion opponents this season. Asay led the conference in receptions with 67, receptions per game with 7.44, and receiving yards per game with 100.8. He caught six touchdown passes, tied for the second-best total in the conference. He ranked 15th in the country in receptions per game and 20th in the country in receiving yards per game. Asay was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the games of October 20, when he caught 11 balls for 179 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-25 win at Wilkes.
