2007 Albright College Men's Cross County Results

November 10, 2007: NCAA Regional Meet

Lehigh, PA - As he has all season long, senior Ricky Brown led Albright in the final meet of the 2007 season Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Regionals. Brown ran the 8k course at Lehigh University in a time of 27:21, making him the 107th runner to cross the finish line. Sophomore Spencer Shaak was the next to finish for the Lions, completing the race in 28:51 to finish 192nd. Sophomore Dan Dalton was 230th in 29:55, and senior Bill Van Ess finished 233rd in 30:02. Sophomore Anthony Carrozza rounded out the top five for the Lions, placing 234th, also in 30:02.

October 27, 2007: MAC Championship Meet

Doylestown, PA - Senior Ricky Brown led Albright to an 8th place finish at the MAC Championship on a soggy Saturday at Delaware Valley College. Brown completed the muddy 8k course in a time of 29:59.73 to finish in 36th position. Sophomore Dan Dalton was the next Lion runner to cross the line, followed by junior Spencer Shaak. Dalton completed his run in 31:49.58 to place 61st, while Shaak was 63rd in 31:55.52. Senior Bill Van Ess finished 65th in 32:07.49, and freshman Robert Kellert rounded out the top five for the Lions by placing 68th with a time of 32:53.90.

October 13, 2007: DeSales Invitational

Center Valley, PA - Albright finished 12th out of 20 teams running in the DeSales Invitational Meet Saturday afternoon. The Lions were led once again by senior Ricky Brown, who placed 28th out of 184 runners in the field. Brown completed the 8k race in a time of 28:19.27. Sophomore Spencer Shaak was the next Lion runner to finish, placing 58th in 29:25.01. Sophomore Dan Dalton finished 82nd in 30:29.33, and senior Bill Van Ess placed 95th with a time of 31:02.62. Freshman Robert Kellert completed the top five for Albright, coming to the finish line in 31:07.56 to place 97th.

October 6, 2007: Albright Homecoming Invitational

Reading, PA - Ricky Brown crossed the finish line in second place to Albright to a second place finish in the Albright Homecoming Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Berks County Youth Recreational Facility. Brown completed the 8k course in 28:49.6, trailing only Greg Kammerle of Penn College. Sophomore Dan Dalton was the next Lion to finish, placing 12th with a time of 30:26.0. Senior Bill Van Ess was 16th in 31:16.9, and sophomore Anthony Carrozza was 19th in 31:47.2 for the Lions, while freshman Robert Kellert rounded out the top five by coming home 21st in 32:19.0. Penn College won the team competition, followed by Albright, Lincoln, Penn State Berks, and Williamson Trade.

September 28, 2007: Brooks Paul Short Run

Lehigh, PA - Albright competed in the prestigious Brooks Paul Short Run Friday afternoon at Lehigh University. Senior Ricky Brown led the way for the Lions, finishing the 8k course in 29:12 to place 179 th . Junior Spencer Shaak finished in 30:03 to place 210 th , and sophomore Dan Dalton was 232 nd in a time of 30:57. Sophomore Anthony Carrozza placed 234 th in 31:12, and freshman Robert Kellert completed the top five for Albright by finishing 241 st in 31:40. The Lions were 37 th in the team competition.

September 22, 2007: York College Invitational

York, PA - Senior Ricky Brown completed the 8k course at John Rudy Park in a time of 29:04.99 to finish fifth out of 49 competitors at the York Invitational Saturday afternoon. Browns effort led Albright to a fourth place finish out of six teams in the race. Senior Bill Van Ess was next for Albright, placing 27th in 32:18.13. Freshman Robert Kellert was not far behind Van Ess, finishing in 32:59.60 to place 29th. Sophomore Anthony Carrozza was 32nd in 33:27.50 and junior Brad Rhodes was 36th in 35:17.63 to complete Albright's top-five in the meet.

September 15, 2007: Baptist Bible Invitational

Scranton, PA - Senior Ricky Brown's 11th place finish led Albright to a strong showing at the Baptist Bible Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Lions placed fifth out of 12 schools competing in the Invitational. Brown covered the 7.9 kilometer course in 28:44.74 to finish 11th out of 110 runners. Sophomore Dan Dalton crossed the finish line in 30:50.63 to place 34th, followed by sophomore Anthony Carrozza's 41st place finish in 31:20.18. Senior Bill Van Ess was 48th in 31:38.08, and freshman Robert Kellert finished 57th in 32:23.78 to complete the top five runners for Albright.

September 8, 2007: Maroon and Gold Fall Classic

Kutztown, PA - Albright turned in a solid performance against four Division II opponents Saturday afternoon at the Kutztown University Maroon and Gold Fall Classic. The Lions were led on the day by senior Ricky Brown, who placed 33rd in the meet. Brown covered the 8k course in a time of 31:03.95. Freshman Eli Fry was not far behind Brown, placing 36th in 32:27.78. Sophomore Dan Dalton was 37th in 33:07.98, and sophomore Anthony Carrozza finished 39th in 34:39.80. Freshman Robert Kellert completed the top five for the Lions, placing 40th in 37:03.55.

September 1, 2007: Delaware Valley Invitational

Doylestown, PA - Albright opened the 2007 season Saturday afternoon at the Delaware Valley Invitational. Freshman Eli Fry had an impressive debut, as he led the Lions on the day. Fry completed the 8k course in a time of 20:25.72, good for 45th place overall. Senior Ricky Brown was the next Lion runner to cross the finish line, posting a time of 31:00.60. A pair of sophomores were next for Albright. Dan Dalton finished in 32:05.80, good for 77th position, followed by Anthony Carrozza in 33:39.17 for 97th position. Senior Bill Van Ess completed the top five scoring positions for the Lions, placing 98th in 33:54.49.

Overall Albright placed 14th out of 19 teams in the event.
