Alumni Reunion and
Presidential Inaugural
Weekend 2006 is for all alumni. Alumni from every
class are invited to attend the inaugural events, including
the
spectacular Sesquicentennial Ball, which will be held
on Saturday evening, May 6.
If gourmet food and ballroom
dancing
are not for you then plan to attend the
Bluegrass Barbeque on Friday, May
5, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Science
Field. While on campus, take a step
back in time and stop by the afternoon
tea on Saturday hosted by Phi Delta
Sigma Honorary Alumnae Sorority. The sorority sisters will
be wearing costumes from the 1850s.
The Jacob Albright Award, the Alumni
Association’s highest honor, will be
presented to The Reverend Dr. Paul
D. Gehris ’56 for making outstanding
contributions to the Albright
community, his profession, and service to society. The award
will be presented at the Sesquicentennial Ball
on Saturday evening, May 6.
Albright College
has a lot to celebrate! We hope you will join us for this
special weekend and become a part of
“History in the Making.”
Sesquicentennial Heritage
Chain - Be a part of
“History in the Making”
In 1929, Dr. Warren Teel, president
of Albright College, welded two
chains together symbolizing the
merger of Schuylkill College and
Albright College. Throughout this
year we are inviting people to sign the
“Sesquicentennial Chain.” The chain
will be available for you to sign during
Alumni Reunion and Presidential Inaugural Weekend. Become a part of the next
150 years of Albright history!
