Here’s the plan for Saturday:
11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Tailgate luncheon under the “Turtledome” (next to the newly renovated Gene Shirk Stadium)
We’ll have burgers, hotdogs, non-alcoholic beverages and other picnic-type foods!
(Adult: $10, Child: $8)
1 p.m. – Albright Lions football vs. Delaware Valley!
3 -6 p.m.: (Unofficially) some of us may be found enjoying the ambiance at Ronie’s!
6 p.m.: We will have a quick group tour of the new buildings on campus, just so we can gripe about the things we didn’t have when we were at Albright. (I understand older people like to do that.)
6:30–9 p.m.: Reunion dinner and mingling in Roop Hall and the Center of the Arts Courtyard
We’re no fools! We are not just attempting to lure you back with fond memories of a good FOOD FIGHT…OH NO!
We are coming back in STYLE. That’s right! This ain’t no frat party menu! (Don’t think we didn’t try, but the health code violations pretty much did us in, soooo……)
The dinner will consist of hors d’oeuvres stations (these you can get yourself)
- Fresh homemade salsa w/tricolor tortilla chips
- Assorted fresh fruit tray
- Assorted vegetable tray w/smokey ranch dip
AND, attended food stations (apparently, you’ll need some help with these)
- Mini sandwich w/carved turkey breast
- Pasta station (short pasta w/alfredo and basil tomato sauces)
AND, butlered stations (I hope they remember the white towel over the arm thing…now, that’s classy!)
- Shrimp salad in phylo cups
- Mini chicken cordon blue
- Mini beef Wellingtons
- Sweet & sour chicken skewer
Did we forget the dessert and coffee? NOPE!
And, of course…THE BAR…
Two types of light/lager or domestic ale, white/red/blush wine, sodas and a sparkling water chaser!
Cost for adults: $35 (which is way less than filling up that SUV gas tank, for sure!!!)
