| In 2003,
Jacque accepted an endowed professorship at Wake Forest University
as the Reynolds professor of computational biophysics. Prior
to this appointment, she served as chief science officer
of GeneFormatics, a San Diego-based company that is devoted
to identifying potential new drugs. Jacque co-founded the
company in 1998. However, in 2003, she successfully merged
GeneFormatics with another San Diego biotechnology company
to form Cengent Therapeutics.
While at GeneFormatics, Jacque helped launch the Central Pennsylvania
Biotechnology Greenhouse, an organization that supports the
development of the biotechnology industry in the state. She
currently serves on the board of directors of QuantumBio, an
early stage company from State College, Pa. |
