The Transfer Process

Your best first step if you’re considering transferring to Albright is to meet with the College’s transfer coordinator, Nicole Christie, to discuss the process. Schedule a visit to campus and a meeting with Nicole by emailing nchristie@albright.edu or calling 800-252-1856. Bring a copy of your transcript so that Nicole can tell you which of your courses will transfer.

Graduation requirements

To graduate from Albright, you must complete:

  • 32 course units, at least 16 of which must be taken at Albright
  • all requirements within your major(s)
  • 15 General Education Curriculum courses

Academic advising

Your faculty advisor will initially meet with you to select courses and to discuss career goals. He or she will help you explore Albright’s unusually flexible curriculum – options that range from the Alpha Program for students undecided about their major to opportunities for combined majors and career internships. You will continue to meet regularly with your advisor, whom you’re also encouraged to contact whenever you have questions or concerns.

On-campus housing is guaranteed at Albright. We offer many housing options, including special-interest suites in North Hall, a popular choice for small groups of transfer students in their second year at College. You’ll feel equally at home in any of our other residence halls.

Transfer student orientation

All new students enjoy a four-day orientation program prior to the start of the fall semester. Transfer students are placed together in one orientation group.

You can skip sessions that address adjusting to college life in general. But there are many other events designed to acquaint transfers with Albright’s campus and our 80-plus student-run organizations.

Spring semester orientation is a shortened version of fall orientation.
