The overhauled and expanded Science Center, a LEED-certified building and the College’s newest academic facility, boasts more than 78,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratory and classroom space and houses a wide variety of research-grade equipment.
Opened in 2007, the Schumo Center for Fitness and Well-Being houses a cardiovascular fitness room; a weight room; an aerobic room; a nutrition classroom; conference space; offices; locker rooms; an atrium; and Peg’s Café, where you can refuel with healthy sandwiches, salads and smoothies.
Housing Albright’s music, theatre and art programs, the Center for the Arts is a work of art itself, with the building, outdoor sculpture, plaza and landscape serving as a fusion of architecture and art. CFA facilities include the 270-seat Wachovia Theatre, five soundproof rehearsal rooms, acoustically correct Roop Hall, art studios, the Freedman Gallery, and printmaking and darkroom facilities.
Coming soon: The Center for Business, Civic and Global Leadership, a technologically advanced classroom and faculty office building housing the Economics and Business, Accounting and Political Science departments along with the Center for Excellence in Local Government, resulting in countless opportunities for interdisciplinary study, community engagement and experiential learning.
