I used to go to Albright. I still do, it's just that I used to too. But, at the moment, I shall be off in Scotland conquering lands of a most green, coldlike nature. Oh I do love a good adventure.

My Goblet of Fire

My fourth year will soon be at a start. I have begun the tossing of clothes into suitcases and stuffage of papers into a big plastic container. The best part about being a fourth year AKA senior is that I know what stuff I need and what is superfluous. No decorations for me, no posters, nothing like that. I found out over the past year that posters are just a distraction. Sure, they brighten up a room, but I'm not living there to live, I'm living there to study. So I need things that encourage me. I usually just hang up work-out regimens and words of encouragement that I write for myself. That way, I keep myself focussed. Easy to set up, easy to pack up.

The following are pictures of my room during finals month. Yes, finals were scattered throughout a month.

That's my Desk.

The back half of my room.

The front half of my room.

Well, now I must go to Wal-Mart and purchase items that I probably don't need.

Sure, I'll take two.

Have you seen the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? Remember at the end how Sam is in front of his house and says, "Well, I'm back."? The way he said that was filled with very many emotions. You could hear the sadness of leaving all his friends scattered throughout Middle-Earth. You could feel how bummed he was on returning home because it meant that the adventures were now over, for the Shire, most notably Hobbiton, was a highly dull place. I understood what he was expressing when it came in touch with HIS fellowship, but now, I feel the same having left my international friends scattered across this Earth. And me? Well, I'm back.

The Half Cent

Its the big one, folks! Entry numero 50! This entry comes at the end of April with May looming right around the corner. May brings June. And June? June brings me home. I booked my ticket back home for mid-June. It really hit hard. I can't believe it's been a school year almost. I wish I could stay just a little bit longer. But, alas, I must return to my original alma mater to see what's going on. It's gonna be a bit depressing. I think I'm going to get hit by massive cultural shock. My feelings towards American Football have completely 180'ed over the year. I used to like it but now I realize that its the reason I have A.D.D. 20 seconds of play, 2 minutes of commercial, rinse, repeat. Its really quite ridiculous.

Lost Misplacements

There's this place where lost wallets go. When they fall out of your pockets and you frantically search for them, they all go to this little crevice in an unknown location. You look for it, but it isn't looking for you. It is enjoying that free air feeling for as long as it can before it must return to its rightful owner; wedged between the denim that surrounds its life, stuffed until it feels like it will explode.

It needed a break. So, at the right moment, it jumped out of my pocket. Just jumped out. It had felt some motion and heat and decided it would be a great place to take a brief vacation. I didn't notice this directly. I didn't even notice it that day. The process of unpacking one's pockets at the end of the day becomes so routine that I forgot that there was something important missing. I just assumed it was there. It always was before.

The Best of...

So. I'm back in the real world now. Rome was nice. Nay, Rome was amazing. I was there from Sunday the 25th to Saturday the 31st. And I took about 900 pictures. SERIOUSLY. oh snap, I just capitalized a whole word. i am sorry. that must have felt like yellings in your head. i remember when i would IM people and then I would walk away from my computer and not put up my away message and people would be like 'where are you' 'HELLO?!' "COME BACK!!!!" and it'd be in caps lock with the exclamation points but why would you do that? i can't actually hear what you are typing and i can't actually read all that UNTIL i've come back so when I read it, all i have is an IM Box with you yelling at me.

Stop yelling at me.

And please turn off your cell phones in theaters.

Readers of the World: READ!

Just this past wednesday, my Urban Dance Society had its first performance. Check it out:

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=7473124202713337918&hl=en-GB

I haven't had the time to write in here because of our practices for that and all this reading I have to do here. Take it from me, University is much easier back home. Here, they basically give you several hours of classes and the rest of the time is yours to spend in the library. But who actually does that? Especially when it is 55 degrees outside and bright and sunshiny sunny?

Ah, I never understood the 'education' system. Now I must write an essay about Marxism. I will be a Communist for this whole week.

This is the Title

There's this room in my dorm, it is called the study room. I am sitting in it right now. Let me tell you what is on the desk around me. I have two forty page articles about Political Theory, a stack of note cards waiting to be filled with terms I don't know so that I can use them in everyday conversation and become a social outcast, a book entitled Democracy in Scandinavia (written by my lecturer thereby making it like his voice is in my head whenever I read it), a highlighter, and a pen. I have this stuff with me because I have to work on a presentation for Thursday.

But here I am. Posting on the blog. PrOcraSTinatING. That's better.

Crazy Internets

Man, I couldn't get on for the longest time! It said I was forbidden from entering. And then, I couldn't get into my Albright email. Man, I thought Albright had dropped me from its roster. I googled my name just to make sure I still existed and, sure enough, I was still deemed alive. I think a funny part about the blog cast is how Melissa is looking at me all coyily. Man, she's cheeky.

So a lot has happened since I last wrote a relevant post. George W. Bush was re-elected somehow, Saddam was captured, etc etc. Oh, if you didnt get it by now, I was implying that I never have really written a relevant post.
