So it turns out today is Albright's 150th anniversary of existence or something. And there was a party in the Campus Center Main Lounge from 12 to 1:30. I don't understand why a party would only last an hour and a half. Nonetheless, I walked in because the flyers said free stuff and what not. But upon my arrival, I was completely taken in shock because I felt I had arrived at a cocktail party with all these, pardon my french, old people. I didn't know if ALbright was turning 150 or if these people were. Everybody just wearing suits and jowly faces. All the students were off to the side. And there was supposed to be cake but it was like fancy cake. Not the cool kind like with the confetti and the icing and the happy birthday written on it. Man, what a boring birthday party. Well, come to think of it, maybe it was a reenactment of society back in Jacob Albright's day.
In other noteworthy news, interim is the coolest thing ever. Personally, I think it would be an excellent idea if we had classes like interim throughout every semester. As in, every class was only 3-4 weeks or whatever and we would only have one class (maybe two if you wanted) per triweek cycle. that way, there would not be as much of a burden upon people because the real world is not like what we are going through currently. Multitasking can be quite detrimental. Also, we get fridays off as well :-) and that is pretty sweet. PLUS the class gets to basically live with each other for the few weeks and therefore you become closer with the competition.
I wonder if the President reads this. These are some great ideas that would work on a larger scale if they already work during the interim. If Albright is such a different way of thinking, why don't we make it so?
