Broke my Fall

During psychology class, I was thinking about what to write in here. And then it hit me. The teacher had thrown chalk at me because I wasn't paying attention. I said to her, "Give me a break! Im paying tuition, do I have to pay attention too?" And she said, "Salaam, the rest of the class left 15 minutes ago, go home." And I didn't say anything back because, well, she was right. The professors here are most times usually correct. That's what I love about Albright.

What else what else what else happened. Hmm, well, homecoming was the other day. Yesterday, actually. And it rained and rained and rained. I'm sending a proposal to the Deans that we should change our slogan thing to "Albright College: It Rains Here On Weekends". I second it. Oh, as I was saying, Homecoming. yes. Well, I kinda sorta helped make the Alpha Sigma Phi/Phi Mu float. We placed third! That was cool. I think it would have been better if we built an ark instead of a float because it rained so much we could have used the ark. We may not have placed with the ark, but people would be lining up (in pairs) to come aboard. Our slogan would be, "Come aboard to go abroad." Catchy isn't it? Yes, i know, I am a genius. The homecoming game was way to wet. I didn't watch it from the stands. I went back to my room and watched it on the TV after cranking the heat up. it was sooo toasty. and then i played video games for twelve hours. And that was a homecoming well spent. If the president is reading this, I propose we move homecoming to, oh i dont know, earlier in the year? You know, when the weather outside is bright. And everybody is happy happy joy joy. I second that.

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

I looked at my calendar the other day. And I was shocked to see it, because, well, I don't have a calendar. I don't even know who's it was! But I was looking at it and thought, "Why do people like to look at the same image for thirty days straight?" You know what I'm talking about? Like if the image above the calendar is a cat. Who wants to look at the same exact cat for a whole month? That's why I like those Far Side 365 Flip A Day calendars, but they don't make those anymore. They=Communist Russia.

i hate him.jpg

yeah i dont like him either.

I was at the library the other day, that place with the books and the flat screen computers. But before I went in, I saw this bookshelf out in front of it. It=Llibrary. I hate when teachers are proofreading papers or grading them and whenever somebody says 'it' in it, they always circle it and ask 'what's 'it'?' It really makes me mad. And you know they know what 'it' is. But they just can't let it go. Speaking of go, I was at the library and there was this bookshelf out front. I like to call that bookshelf the 'Exiles' because those books are labelled 'Free'. Actually, I think the situation would be cooler if they paid ME to take those books. Some of those books were old and had that old book smell, kinda similar to old people smell, but not as yellowy.
These books were so old, the covers didn't have titles on them. They were on the spine of the book! I opened a book up and the pages were stiff to the touch. Smelled like a mildew encrusted basement. But man, I had picked up a book about some Russian dude! I LOVE Russia, it just fascinates me to no end. Rasputin is my hero. I took two books. I felt like a GENIUS walking around campus with two ancient books that had no cover art on them whatsoever. And then a pretty girl said hi to me and i tripped and my books flew everywhere.

It's the Return of the Fire

Guess who's back, back again?
If you guessed Robin Williams, sorry, you were wrong. He bombed after Death to Smoochie and One Hour Foto/Photo. Poor guy, I really was attached to him.
I, on the other hand, am back on the soil I call dirt, on the land I call grass, on the property I call Albright.
Last time, man, i don't even remember what I wrote last time! I guess we get to start fresh this year! But I'm not starting fresh, oh no sirree, I am continuing on into my sophomore year. I hope you continue on into the entry.

Summer vacation. What a trip! I joined a gym and took up boxing. That was cool. Unfortunately, it was Club Boxing. Let me tell you, never take a fitness class where the women outnumber you 30 to 1. Sure, one would think, "Lots of women! I bet I could get a number or two." Yeah, the only number you'd get is how many stitches you need to sew up your face. Don't mess with boxing women. Plus, the estrogen levels in the air are astronomical. Whenever the instructor said to take the anger out on the punching bags, I'd hear some women screaming, "Stupid Bobby not paying child support" or "You want me to cook? COOK THIS!" And now, I am a feminist. And that was my wet, hot American summer.

This semester of mine has started off fairly well. The first week left no room for adjusting. Teachers handed out syllabi, assigned papers, and then, when one thought it was over, they started class. It is definitely quite a semester so far.
On the social side, I have been playin basketball with a bunch of new buddies. Living in the woods has made me...well...kind of hermit-like. Hermit the Frog here. But it's all good. I keep it real, I keep it fresh. For now, I must leave you and write a paper. Check me out October 11 at Jake's for Open Mic Night.

Later on Lions
