crazy timing.

heyyyyy,

man, has this weekend...this semester, rather FLOWN BY!!

i just got back from spending the weekend with my boyfriend at the beach. he goes to Eastern University and this summer, he's doing an internship with CIY (Christ in Youth) all around the country. Once he leaves tomorrow, he won't be back until August 11th. (AHHH!!) I'm bummed that we won't be together this summer, but I know that it's an incredible opportunity for each of us to grow and serve the Lord. Also, I think I'd be bummed out if I didn't have my own internship to be excited about!! :) Not to mention that I leave for Buluxy, Mississippi in 7 days!! :)

Heyy strangers!

Ahh, I know, it's me who is the stranger, really! I feel like every time I blog I talk about "how busy I am" but no SERIOUSLY, right NOW..IT'S INSANE!! This time of year is always crazy-I've got 2 20 page papers due within the next two weeks, a 100 page unit for Science, lesson plans, tests, projects, presentations, and then, of course, not to mention all the FUN stuff that is going on around campus. Sometimes I really wonder why all the really fun activitie are planned around the busiest time of year! Ahh oh well, needless to say, this is my FAVORITE time of year at campus-everyone is doing everything, and I love it, love it, love it. So, here's a little recap on some of the basic things that are going on around here.

halfway through my college career?

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!

So sorry about the delay..as always, things are crazy here at Albright. Let me see if I can update you with some of the highlights! :)

Hmm..alright, well, last week was a HUGE weekend for Albright! On Sunday night we held our annual Scholarship dinner-great people, great talents, and great FOOD! It was a whole lot of fun! I got the privledge of meeting a TON of the incoming (hopefully) freshmen for next year. Boy, are some of these people TALENTED! I love hearing all their involvements and achievements! It's always encouraging to hear just what sort of things incoming freshmen can bring in for the college. [If you're a prospective student reading this out there, DEFINITELY CONSIDER THIS SCHOOL FOR SCHOLARSHIPS!! They care SOO MUCH about you here! FREE MONEY is a GREAT thing! PLUS, you get treated to this FANTASTIC CATERED dinners-and let me tell you..between that special chicken, bliss potatos, and carrot cake...oh, they have got some GOOD FOOD!

So, Sunday night was a whooole lot of fun..but it didn't stop at dinner! You see, a BUNCH of my friends, especially those living in Mohn Hall (the honors dorm) had the opportunity to host an "overnight"-a prospective student who was interested in seeing what "life at Albright College is REALLY like!" It was AWESOME!! Get this..out of ALL people, i actually had my ROOM-MATE'S sister! She is the SWEETEST thing! I love her!!! Actually, we all ended up having a "game night" Sunday..about 20 of us went down to the lounge floors and we ended up playing Cranium's Pop 5 and Apples to Apples..SO MUCH FUN! We made smores and then played "have you ever.." (a keeper for college)..it was an AMAZING night!! :)

well, first of all..the fundraising for the summer New Orleans/Mississippi trip is kickin' off!! We just had a Kids' Night Out this past weekend and it was great!
albright pride.

hey everyone!!

sorry its been quite a while since my last blog. sometimes, I'm so terrible with this crazy stuff. so anyway, let me think...what's been going on at albright. well, everyone is in full swing of their semester schedules now. OH, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MOST of my classes. lol. im taking psy 300, which is a class where the students are designing and carrying out research projects. they're really neat! okay and then..welll, im taking two education courses...one is an art class and another is about science..they're both pretty neat. i have a lot of friends in them, which is always fun. aaand, oh yes, im taking this holocaust lit and film class..whiiiiich, its interesting. its the first time ive ever had a night class (the class happens on tuesday mornings and thursday nights), so its a bit different. let's just say that with a schedule like mine, i'm starting a trend of taking red bulls to class each thursday night. oh ps, sorry about no caps or proper punctuation or anything in this blog, im just totally full of energy and obviously dont have the patience to correct for my improper instant message grammer (or lack of, rather). :) soo, yes, OH! but my FAVORITE class is this psychology class called "close relationships." its all about romantic relationships-oh, its SOOO cool! so yes..classes are fun..

2 weeks of interim down, one to go, this interim has FLEW. so, im right in the midst of my field experience, and it really has been going GREAT. its terrible, im so still on the fence about deciding over professions, but, the two teachers and the class that im with, i could ask for anything better. they are absolutely incredible. i love them all so much! days are long..heh, ive learned that its VERY NOT FUN to go to bed at 2am and then wake up at 6am, spend 7.5 hours in school, and STILL try to survive an ultra busy night. and days that you can get to bed by 11pm are GLORIOUS b.c you're really gonna need that energy to keep up with those kids.

a new year..

Hey everyone, wow, I certainly know that it has been a LONG while since I've updated this thing. So many things have happened since my last post, let me see if i can briefly fill you in. So...finals passed, grades came back (:-D), the holidays are now gone, break was WAAAY too short, and now I'm back here for interim. For those of you who might not know, interim is a short "January term" that Albright offers to students for those who are willing to ambitiously complete a class in three weeks. Students attend class every day for about 3-4 hours and thus, are in an "intensive" study, but are given the opportunity to get a class "out of the way". I'm actually not here for a CLASS necessarily, but I'm here to complete the "field experience" for elemenetary educaction. Let me give you a little more info.

I <3 November days like this!

Hey everyoneeeee...hope everyone is enjoying their week!! I cant believe its tuesday already...i mean, that means tomorrow is wednesday, and then two more days until the weekend..ahh this weekend is gonna ROCK! and this week has already been so much of a blessing.

so basically, all i have to say, is that God is amazing. :) you see, this weekend, i did a little random visit to my grandmother in canada b/c well..she's sick in the hospital, and i was pretty sure that it was going to be my last occurance ever seeing her. anyway, bottom line..the Lord does amazing things through unfortunate situations, and well-the trip was a blessing. the entire family got some time to spend together, to catch up, to grow together..and my grandmom finally received peace about her situation-it was such a blessing. :)

okay, so last night-or early this morning...i started to creat a blog about how great last night was, but, i know i left early and i didnt feel i did it justice, so, im continuing a bit today.

alright so, yes new orleans. its so incredible how that group-how that experience has impacted my life. even five months after it happened, my friends and i talk about it like it was yesterday. we were all so moved by the service we did down there-and we all want to go back so greatly. in fact, a small group of us are going back over thanksgiving-we're driving down. its going to be incredible. we've been fundraising some money to take us down there-this week, there is a benefit concert to raise some more money-it should be a big hit. :)

but yes, new orleans is incredible, and i am loving albright more and more each day.
