breezing through..
heyyy everyone!! man, it certainly has been a little while since ive written here! its difficult to get to sometimes, because i only have the site saved under my favorites on my laptop, and most of the time, i just use my family computer now, soo..yeaa..you dont need to know my life story though!! just a few things..summer's been great-im finally busy-i work at a YMCA day camp from 8-4 and then i waitress sometimes during the night for a local restaurant. other nights im usually at the gym or in meetings for church-im telling ya-i know how to keep busy!! OH..it was so awesome though-last week i had a reunion with some friends that i went to new orleans with..
...nadine and angela-we went to the KOP mall-ate some fine chinese dining and shopped around. it was SO nice to see them and catch up :). OHHHH and this past weekend i went back to albright!! my "triangle" (lee and jess-my best friends, basically) took a little road trip to see jess's boyfriend, joe-and hang out with some other guy friends, dave and john. it was a lot of fun-we took a little trip to french creek and played frisbee golf and then went out to applebee's (keep in mind, this is HOURS later-after we were all STARVING!!) besides the jerk waiter, we had a great time, and i enjoyed spending time with my friends. i even got to see steph and some of the other guys on summer staff!!
aaaand..today (monday) i got to come back to albright for the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Schumo Center. it was sooo awesome!!! the ceremony went GREAT and the president's lunch was DELISH! i really had a blast. it seems like i just cant get away from albright..i love it WAAY too much! :) every time i go back, it just gets better.
anyway, ive gotta get back to spending some time with my mom-thats important ya know.

finally home.
heyy everyone-ohh, so u didnt imagine that people would actually be blogging in the summer, hunh? lol, well, ive definitally got a few things to blog about-i FINALLY got home from college-then new orleans-and then the beach with some friends..the time has been amazing...so, let me recap briefly. :)
so..after finals were over, i stayed for the weekend at albright and worked-i catered all weekend for commencement, which was cool-made some money, that was nice..AND THEN, i left for new orleans the NEXT DAY at 2am!! the trip was amazing..23 students and 3 chaperones from albright college went down to volunteer for katrina clean up-we worked with an organization called "Hands On"-the experience was amazing...we stayed in this church when we were down there-and every day there would be about four or five different projects that we could volunteer for. the projects were really eye opening-we had to go into houses and "gut" out the insides-basically take everything out except for the wooden structures of the house. it was incredible how much stuff-and how much damange-was done to each house. sometimes we even got to meet the homeowners-and they fed us and thanked us for helping us with their homes. it was incredible. when we were down there, we also go to see the 9th ward-the hardest hit area in new orleans-which is still completely damanged...the trip was really great though..all of us students had the opportunity to bond and really form some close friendships that i know will carry us for the rest of our lives..AAAND we're all planning on doing more trips-like alternative spring breaks and stuff..soo..stay posted if you're planning on coming to albright :)
other than that, the beach was fun. my boyfriend picked me up as soon as i got dropped off in philly from new orleans. i got to see my closests friends from high school, which was nice-we all caught up and got to spend some time together. it was cool...amazing how people change in a year though. and its funny..you always find that you, yourself, change the most. (in a good way, for me at least! :) ) it was cool though, when i was down in OCNJ, i got to visit LEE-one of my greatest friends from albright-so i was really excited about that..and im planning on hanging out a BUNCH of times with some other albright friends..man, do i miss some of those guys.
but, yea, its nice to be home. i get to see my boyfriend all the time, which is definitally nice. and now im starting my jobs-a camp counselor and waitressing-back in full swing. its also nice to be back with some karate friends, and with church people..i guess home isnt too bad..
but i miss my albright crew! <3 august will come soon enough..lol. oh yea, i checked my grades-it looks good folks.
freshman year on the dean's list-awesome awesome stuff. :-D alrighty everyone-its breakfast time for me-ill talk to you all soon-hope you are having splendid summers so far-congratulations on any graduating seniors.. :)
