back at school!! :)
yaay!! im back at school-it feels so great to see all my friends!! ahhh..i finally got some things straightened out, and it feels great!! :) ive got so much work to do this week, but..its okay, b/c im gonna be with my friends!! :) lol..ahh, im sure ill be blogging later on..just wanted to drop a hello!! :)

wisdom teeth, what?
hey everyone! wow, i know this must be a record-two blogs BACK TO BACK! buuut..im kinda bed ridden right now, and taking a break from typing up child development notes..so, i figured id do a quick blog on the status of my WISDOM TEETH!! heh, yeaaa..this morning i woke up at 445 so i could be at pottstown hospital by 6am to undergo surgery by 730..
ill tell you the truth, i was pretty nervous. buuuut, i told myself that this was something that was not in my control, and instead, casted all my worries to God. and must i tell you, my God is an AWESOME GOD! he blesses me so much, i am so unworthy and so undeserving. but, He chooses to love me..unconditionally, and constantly holds me within his loving arms. anyway, about the surgery..everything went amazing..after getting the IV put in me, i fell right asleep...i was COMPLETELY KNOCKED OUT..literally, all i remember was the doctor, laughing, saying "goodnight melissa.." and me kinda smirking, thinking "its gonna take more than THAT to knock me out.." buuut, the next thing i knew, it was an hour later, and i was juuuust stirring in the comfort of the recovery room to the nurses's "heyy melissa, you did really good..surgery went awesome." anyway, i layed there for awhile, listening to the guy next to me make a fool out of himself b/c of the medicine..heh, yeaa..it was niice..my face felt like it was 100X bigger, but when i actually looked at it..it didnt look too different..and my swelling went down surprisingly REALLY FAST! after not being able to eat or drink for 10+ hours, the hospital finally treated me to some gingerale and some water ice..which, i kiiiinda ate..and i was ready to go home by 11!!
sooo..now its about 6 o'clock and ive literally spent the entire day in bed...i have to say though, everyone complains about getting wisdom teeth out..the pain, the irritability, this and that..but HEYY im not complaining, i think its great!! ive got a legit. excuse to lay in bed, and im surrounded by everything i need within the vicinity of a few inches. plus, my amazing mother is waiting on me left and right-even going out of the way to buy me rita's mistos and gelatis-which OF COURSE, im obsessed with. i love my mom!! she keepds telling me "i have to eat, i have to eat" lol..but honestly, ive drank more soda today than i have in the past year! hey...the doctor told me i need sugars in me..
anyway, i should be bed ridden for about another two days, and then well..I NEED TO GET OUT! heh, im not the type of person to stay in-in fact, ive already got plans lined up for friday and saturday with some friends from home! :) ohh and i actually might drive back up to reading to attend a 4D church thing at glad tithings friday night...im not sure, we'll see..
ahhh, the doctors say the swelling is the worst after 48 hours, sooo..we'll see..im hoping im an exception to that (knock on wood)-heh, nahh actually, im okay with what happens, I put my trust in God, and whatever His will is, I accept. :)
for any of you reading this, thanks so much for your thoughts and your prayers. i have the best two friends in the world-jess and lee you are both amazing..thanks for the IMs and the phone calls..adam too..i just, ahh, im so incredibly lucky to have all of you. between my family, my friends, everyone..I'm the happiest girl in the world. :-D

SPRING BREAK!!
heyyy everyone! well, thought you'd all like to know that i am writing this lovely message from the cozy comfort of my living room couch in schwenksville, pa. thats right, its spring break and this girl is HOOOOMEEE!! heh, ahhhh it was a break WELL AWAITED! i wont lie though...i was sad to leave my friends-albright has been SO MUCH FUN LATELY..but, its so nice to be around my family again-even though the brothers are some time a pain-heh, and yesss...the relaxing is just FANTASTIC.
so, let me think..what's going on...
well, most NORMAL college students go away on trips during spring break. ive got friends going to las vegas, florida, mexico-all over. not me though, im just home. :) hey, i can deal with that for my freshman year. ill save up some money so next year i can go to one of those exotic places.
actually, i fooled you-i do have HUUGE plans for the break. oh yea, they start tomorrow actually. you see, im getting my WISDOM TEETH out. heh, ohh HOW ENJOYABLE. ill admit, im kinda nervous-ive heard a lot of stories...but, my life is not even in my hands, so there is no need to worry. Whatever His will is...it'll be done. :)
annnyyyway, so yes, this break will be quite enjoyable. when i get back to school, im sure there will be TONS of work to do-I know that I have a few papers that are due-which I am hoping to get a huuuge head start on over this break. alllsoo though, EVERY WEEKEND from now until the end of the year, IM DOING SOMETHING!! im so excited. the weekend when we come back, im going to washington dc and doing an easter egg hunt at a local opporunity house in reading. its gonna be great..i cant wait! :) i absolutely love college life here.
ohh and ps. I HAVE AN OVERNIGHT! dude, i would be SO THIRLLED if she was reading this right now. nevertheless, i am SUPER EXCITED to be hosting you..whoever you are..you're gonna have a BLAST. :)
heh, alright, well, ive gotta get ready for tomorrow-and i wanna read some more of this COMPLETELY ADDICTING BOOK.."If you wanna walk on water...you've gotta get out of the boat." its amazing, i love it.

ALL IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!! :)
heyyy everyone-well, another week has passed..aaaannd have i mentioned JUST HOW MUCH I LOVE ALBRIGHT COLLEGE!! man, spring break is in a week-and even though im really excited to go home and see everyone-i really dont want to leave! i love it here!! lets see if i can update you all on what has been going on this week...
wellllllllllllll i think i had about 4949548 meetings this week. heh, noooo not that many, but i really did have a lot. aside from the normal sorority activites and study hours, i had meetings for additional clubs, including options (a club that organizes activities for nonalcoholilc options), ambassadors (i am gonna be a tour guide!!!), my regular work..honors club..ummm..EVERYTHING! heh, saturday was a really busy day, i had catering here at albright from 7-130, and then i had to work an open house for ambassador training until 4. i totally loved it..the day ROCKED..ambassadors was amazing, i met some really great PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, heh, maaybe you guys are reading this now...ohh NOT TO MENTION the AMAZING weather that we had the past two days. unfortunately, that got totally destroyed today with the rain..BUUUUT that doesnt make a difference, I AM IN THE GREATEST MOOD!
ALL IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
so, ive realized some great things about albright college in the past week. perhaps ill list a few for you all...
i have the greatest friends at albright college.
i cannot imagine myself anywhere else.
i love to help the kids here.
i love reaching out.
i love talking to people.
i LOVE AMBASSADORS.
one day, i want to be an admissions counselor here.
you CAN have fun without ALCOHOL-and everyone is NOT doing it.
did i mention, i have the greatest friends?
i love having class outside.
COLDSTONE ICECREAM ROCKS.
there are so many amazing restaurants and shopping places around here.
i love my room.
sunny warm days at albright are the best.
im late for my soroirity meeting..

hey strangers!
WHOAAA...HEY STRANGERS! geeeze, this blogging thing-i really need to keep up with it. heh, i feel like im saying that with so many of my activities lately..there is JUST soooooo much going on at school. AC is keeping me TOTALLY busy and i LOVE it. i cant believe spring break is in two weeks..i really don't want to leave..
let me see, lets just update you all a bit. well, the pledging is in full swing. We're on our 4th week or so and with us also being about half way through the semester, well...let me just say that there is never a night when i am not doing anything. the activities are really fun-everyone is getting more excited as initiation gets closer. ...ahhhh :)
what else, ohh yea, im SOOO EXCITED for ACF. there is so much going on right now with this group, and its TOTALLY AWESOME!! we've got a retreat coming up in april, some little "field trips" before then-we've also got a revial night for the campus..and bible studies have just been going great. maaan, just thinking about some of these seniors leaving, well, im really gonna miss these guys!
oh, speakinig of ministry, its been so great b/c i actually got in touch with someone from psu berks about expanding and possibly joining some minitry options between psu and albright. ive got a meeting with him soon, so, hopefully things will go well with that. :)
what else, what else. well, this weekend is busy busy busy. especially on sunday. ive got an interview to be a POP!! (AHHHH IM SO EXCITED!!) and then im going to the bridge with some friends late that night. ohhh also, I GOT PICKED TO BE AN AMBASSADOR!! i am excited x 1000000000!! this is the NUMBER ONE thing i want to do on campus, and i am SOO grateful for being given the chance to do it. we have a meeting next week! ohh and another cool thing, my roomate is doing it too!! its great!!
hmmm...other than that, there are a few other things going on. work with the kids in the city is going well, and there are a few new meetings i get to attend in the next few weeks for some stuff going on at school. ohh yea, and SPRING BREAK is coming up soon-so, thats exciting. hah, buuuuut i get my wisdom teeth out over that time. sooo, i dunno how great it is for me. lol.
alright guys, well, ive gotta get some homework done-so glad to catch up though. hope to add some stuff soon. and really, if you havent visited yet..COME!! ohh, and for all of you going to the jacob albright dinner..HAVE FUN!! :)
