Well, we are gearing up for the end of the semester! That's right....three more days of classes, and then finals week...and we're outta here!

Last week was my really bad, busy week. This week isn't too bad, just with a spanish oral exam. Hopefully that goes well...I don't want to have to take my final!

Basketball is coming to a close as well....we are all so pooped mentally and physically!

Today at admissions, we had an ambassador (tour guide) barbecue! Let me just tell you, Chris Boehm is an amazing griller! (haha!)

Well, sorry this is so short...but I have to get ready for bed. So tired!

P.S. Weather has been AMAZING...

Everything seems to be going well...just super busy. This past week consisted of tour training, recruits, basketball, classes, experience events...the whole nine yards!

Training to be a tour guide definatley isn't easy...lots to remember! But that's ok, I really think that I am going to like it. Also, I have met a lot of new people, which is pretty awesome too! This weekend is the last open house of the school year, and I will definatley be there helping out! So, stop on by!

Sunday, the school is hosting a free trip to the Philadelphia Phillies which is SWEEET! I'm so pumped! Can't wait, hopefully we will have nice weather :o)

Tomorrow (Friday) night, the drama club is performing the opening night of the Mikado, and I will definatley be there! Hopefully it's as great as it is cracked up to be...

Well, I suppose that will be all for now. I have lots of things to do!

Oh, and for the weekly weather report...who knows. It was sunny and 85 on Monday, and it is cloudy and 55 on Thursday...more later!

Anywho, basketball is still going strong. We lift three mornings in the week, have conditioning another, and play pickup three out of the five days as well. Fun fun!

A ton of laundry to do....whooo!

Tomorrow is the big New Found Glory concert!! I know I'm excited, should definatley be a good time!

Weekly weather: cold, gray, miserable. Theme? I think so! It should be warming up this weekend! Knock on wood!

Boy, I have been a busy bee lately! Here are my stories :o)

Last Thursday I went down to Philadelphia with some of the admissions counselors to attend a dinner at the Pyramid Club for prospective students. It was amazing! We were on the 52nd floor which provided an awesome view of the city, especially at night. That was definatley a lot of fun...good food too.

Saturday, I took a trip with the school down to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. I took my mommy with me because I didn't know anyone going on the trip! It was a great time, well as great as learning about genocide can be. It was very educational, and I'm really glad I got to go. It was only $2!!

Sunday was POPs training, which was FANTASTIC!! POPs are peer orientation people who run a freshman orientation program for next year's freshman, obviously. The theme of the day was being on a safari, so I dressed up as a tour guide with a sweet hat and everything! It was pretty cool. We learned songs and such, and let me tell you, I am pumped for next August!!

Sunday night I hosted a basketball recruit, and she was a pretty awesome girl! She seems amazingly athletic, and was super sweet, so hopefully we will be able to have her come to Albright! Whooo Albright!

This week I have been preparing for a big test in sociology. I'm NOT looking forward to it. But all I can do is study...so that's what I plan to do! Wish me luck!

So, the weekly weather: It was a beautiful, warm, sunny 76 degrees on Monday, and currently it is 43 degrees with a chance of snow showers Saturday. I thought it was spring time!!

I took pictures to try and get a new profile pic for this blog, because let me tell ya, it's needed! Now, where could this picture be....perhaps I should look into it.

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend <3

Soooo, spring break begins tomorrow after classes! Yipee!!

Now, the last few entries I have written about the funkiness of the weather (I just made up a word). Well, that funkiness is not over, yet. It was 75 degrees yesterday, and it's supposed to snow all day tomorrow. Just fantastic.

Anywho, I went to the Lady Lions softball game yesterday with a few of my friends, and it was so much fun! We all painted the numbers of our friends onto our faces, and put pawprints and the letters AC all over the place. It was pretty sweet. Unfortunatley, the girls lost. But, it's still just the beginning of the season! Go Girls!

I got my pictures re-taken for my blog....lets hope they turn out better than last time....

Guess what! I'm a POP! And for all of you partaking in orientation next year, I'll be one of the first faces you will recognize on campus! Hooooray! I'm so excited :o)

Anywho, since it is mid-term and I still have two exams tomorrow, I should go study. Lets hope it gets warmer!

Well, I believe that the last time I wrote in here, I was commenting on the upcoming snow. Now, I'm rejoicing in the warm weather! Hooray for the sun and it's warmth!

Anywho, I still don't have basketball. It is quite depressing, however, I have been finishing my homework at a faster rate now because I have nothing better to do.

Last week, I attended the Shirk Scholarship dinner for the prospective students of the class of 2011. It was a lot of fun! I saw some people I knew, and met a lot of people I didn't. Regardless, I hope to see them all here next year!

Over the weekend, I went to the POPs tryouts. For those who don't know, POPs are the people who introduce freshman to Albright in the fall at freshman orientation. I really hope to become a POP because I had such a positive experience last year, and I want to give that to the students to come!

What else, oh! Well, it is Mid-term week, which youuuuu guessed it, means tests and papers. I have had some tests already, and there are plenty more to follow this week. Bleh!

Hail the beautiful weather! I actually got to go and sit on a bench outside today and do my homework. It was wonderful! Lets hope it keeps up!

Enjoy it while it lasts!

Aloha! Well, basketball has now OFFICIALLY ended, as sad as that may be. We had a shot at the ECAC tournament last week...and we won our first game vs. Neumann College by a good margin! We actually almost hit 100 pts, it was amazing! But, our season ended on Friday night vs. Moravian College, who ended up taking the rest of the tournament. The neatest part was that since we won on Wednesday, we got to host the rest of the tournament!

Anywho, classes this week are...well, alright. I didn't do as well on a psychology test as I thought I should have...so I definatley need to work harder the next time around. I have a History mid-term on Friday...wish me luck!

I have interviewed to be a POP for freshman orientation and to be an Albright Ambassador here on campus. I'm hoping that I get those positions...I think that they would be a neat way to be involved on campus. Thinking short term, however, I sure hope that it snows tomorrow! Although they are not predicting much, maybe a class will be cancelled?! I can only hope...

On Monday we waited all day long to find out if we made the ECAC tournament (the Eastern College Atlantic Conference), and we did! We are the 3rd seed out of 8, and we play 6th seeded Neumann College tonight (Wednesday) at 7 pm. I sure hope that we win!

Finally, my big exams are over. I got my sociology test back and did well, and today I took my psychology exam that I was so stressed out about. I'm not sure how I did, but I was so annoyed because I forgot to do the extra credit! Bummer!

As far as the women's basketball team goes, we have our last regular season game this afternoon, which means it's senior night. I am going to miss our seniors so much :o( .....but I am looking forward to the years to come as well. Luckily, our season isn't over, and we have earned a playoff game on Wednesday! School is going well, classes have heated up and the papers and tests are rolling in. It is definatley going to be a tough semester, but I'm up for the challenge!!

I cannot believe it's February...where has the time gone? This semester will be over before you know it!

Classes are going well, there is definatley a lot more to do this semester than last semester. Mostly reading and such, just wait until all of the papers and projects begin! Ahh!

Basketball is going well as well. The Lady Lions are currently 15-5, and 8-1 in the MAC conference. We are ranked as #2 in the conference, but we hope to beat the #1 team tomorrow and tie them for first! We play Messiah at their place which is rough, but they were recently ranked #1 in the nation which places a lot of pressure on them and takes all of it off of us! We've got nothing to lose...only to gain!

Well, that is all for now. I should get some sleep...

Mallory.

The first semester was not too bad. I had a lot of fears and hesitations to the difficulty of the first semester as well as being scared that I would not be able to keep up. It is/was definatley a lot more homework and studying, but so far it is all not too bad. I guess we shall see with this next semester!

Anywho, the basketball team is continuing to do well! We, the Lady Lions, are now 12-5 and looking to continue our winning streak with Susquehanna University tomorrow night. Go team!

I can't believe it, but I am going to be 19 on Saturday...where has the time gone...

I play basketbal here for the Lady Lions, and so far we are having a terrific season! We are 11-5, which is a great start! I love playing a college sport...

We are approaching the spring semester of my freshman year, and I'm not ready! I am a straight A student, so it's not like I can't do it, I just don't want the work load! Haha...I will survive.

Well, I think this is going to be a log of fun! I must go eat lunch because practice is coming, but feel free to respond :o)
