Goodbye leaves hello Mr. Frost
Did you know that our first Open House is THIS Satuday, October 28th, 2006?
-You do now...we'll see you there :-)
Hello friends!
So the leaves have changed and we've our first frost has come. Homecoming 2006 has passed and Ritas is now closed. We've officially turned off the air and turned on the heat in the apartment. Midterms are over and now the term papers are due. I had to dig out my gloves and scarf and even my winter coat for class this morning. Summer is really gone and now a distant memory.
So yes I'm having a hard time coming to terms with the winter weather. I haven't really had time to think about it until last night. I've been more busy than I have ever been. My course load is extremely heavy so I spend most of my time in either the library or the computer lab. I have a giant Sociology paper due on Thursday on Karl Marx and a 3-4 page spanish paper and test on Friday on a book I have yet to finish. My Social Statistics class is all about probabilties that I will probably never even think about after I'm finished with this class. Then I have a paper on a Hindu musical that didn't make sense for my Asia on Film class...Hindu musical...need I say more? I'm not stressed at all...can you tell?
This is what we sign up for when we go to college I suppose. I'm also behind in my school work because I spent the majority of last week proposing my ISP (Individulized study program). I'm trying to combine Sociology, Spanish, and Theatre into my own program-it's a program that is unique to Albright. It's a great idea and tool for students, but they REALLY make you fight for it. It's quite a process. It just makes you stronger in the end right?
So Homecoming was last weekend. It was probably the best Homecoming I've been to while being at Albright College. My roommate, Meredith Mayes, was on Homecoming Court so that was unbelievably exciting! She was soooo pretty! I'll be posting pictures shortly so don't worry. She didn't win Homecoming Queen, but the other roommates and I have decided to keep her around anyway. haha We also have a parade that goes down 13th street before the football game and the Domino Player float WON!!!! Kind of a big deal. I was SOOOOO excited! AND the weather was AMAZING! So it was a great Homecoming.
Then this past weekend Meredith, Marie and I went to Kutztown University to see Jason Mraz. Some guy opened for him who was TERRIBLE. It was the worst opener I've ever seen at a concert. Jason Mraz, however, was great! He is amazing live and very, very talented.
This weekend is the Open House so I'll be seeing you there! Get excited! Any questions or concerns call our admissions office at 1-800-952-1856. You may even get to talk to me since I am working phones this week :-)
God Bless!!
