Noahs Flood in Reading!
Did you know that on some Carribbean Islands the oysters can climb trees? True story.
Last night the heavens opened and it rained like cats and dogs. The TV went off and we even had a tornado warning for Berks County. It was pretty intense. I was not the most intelligent person and drove to my friends house right in the middle of the storm. The roads, I'd like to report, were not too good. Definitely wouldn't recommend driving in that for future reference. But, the storm has passed and the sun is out and life is just grand and it is Friday.
So what is new in the life of Kelly Cross you ask? Well, there is a lot that has been going on. Our first show, Waiting for Godot, was last weekend and an amazing success! It did very well and we had an incredible turnout which is fantastic! Out next show is Top Girls, an all female cast-it should be interesting haha.
I've been doing A LOT of work for SGA-Student Government Association. I'm the Corresponding Secretary. We just finished Allocations which is basically SGA giving money to every student run organization on campus depending on their involvment on campus for this fall semester. It was quite the process, but I learned A LOT. We are going to Disney in November. Kind of a big deal. I'm kind of pumped!!! I'm a little nervous because we're missing classes and that can make things a little complicated, but it's all about time management! GAME ON.
Everyone is getting in gear for Homecoming, which is in a few weeks! I'm really excited! Our theme is Remember................and now imagine. Please don't ask, I have no idea how to take that. Try building a float with that theme. Ya, tell me about it.
Fall break is next weekend which is really exciting! My friend Marie, who is on the basketball team, is coming home with me!! I think we're going to do the CT thing and then go to NYC for the day. Pa people don't get to experience the NYC thing like we CT people do haha.
Classes are ridiculously hard. My Spanish class on Caribbean Cultures is really good. I think it's very interesting, but it's spanish at 9 am in the morning on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays--a little rough. My Social Theory class is absurdly difficult, not a big fan of Statistics (the whole number thing..never been a fan) and then there's Asia on Film. Asia on Film is a class that is once a week and for 3 hours. We watch black and white films with subtitles. My best friend is in it sooo it's entertaining, but 3 hours is a little rough.
Ok that is about it for now! I absolutely LOVE my roommates this year! I've been truly blessed! We're trying to plan a roommie trip to the Caribbean...if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I'll keep you posted!
That's it for now!
God Bless,
Kelly Cross

Beginning of Junior Year Picturas...muy bien!
Oh people:
Half the people you know are below average.
82.7% of statistics are made up on the spot.
The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse get's the cheese.
I'd kill for a Novel Peace Prize.
Borrow money from pessimists--they don't expect it back.
Rachel and me on our roommate dinner. LOVE THIS GIRL.
Rachel and Miss Marie Levins...they rock my world.

All the girls of E2 (my apartment) pre-roommate dinner. It was soo much fun-we can eat a lot.

Waiting for...
Did you know that lilliputian means tiny. In comparison, the Baytown Bumble Bees were lilliputian players.
This is the word of the day.
Alright so we're approaching the 4th week of classes. Wow. Things have been super busy. I honestly can't complain because it's pretty much what I've signed up for..literally. So last night, all the members of SGA (Student Government Association) spent 6 hours allocating money to the different organizations on campus. 5pm-11pm...I never knew it was such a process. It was a very long time don't get me wrong, but I had a lot of fun doing it!
Then I came back to the apartamento and watched HIgh School Musical from the Disney Channel with my roommates and Miss Marie Levins who I play bball with. Tonight is a football game that is home which is exciting. The weather has been horrible lately so hopefully it'll be somewhat nice for the guys tonight.
This is pretty much everything that is going on right now besides the abundance of school work I have. I think my roommates and I are going to plan a trip to NYC soon to see a broadway show. It's definitely in the works...so we'll see what happens.
Ok things to look for:
Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett (he's kind of a big deal in the theater world)- The first Domino Player Production this semester opens up Thurs, September 21st and runs till Sunday, September 24th. All the shows are at 8pm except for Sundays which is at 2:30. If you're in the area you should definitely come check it out.
Homecoming- In October...I'm pretty excited about this!
Albright College Open House- October 28th (Saturday). If you're interested in coming to Albright at all..definitely come check out the Open House you'll be able to learn a lot about the campus and campus life just by being on campus...and you'll have the opportunity to go on a tour and talk to professors!
Alright that is it for now!
God Bless!!
