summertime and the Livin is EASY
Did you know that Albright College is one of my favorite places on earth!
Ok so I'm home. I'm back in the 860 of good ole Connecticut and I'm ready to go back to the little learning institution right up against Mount Penn. I've been home for 3 days and I'm bored out of my mind. To see my friends from high school I have to drive, I can't just walk to their houses. To actually do something is another hefty drive...I live in the middle of no where and I honestly wouldn't want my house to be anywhere else, but as for having a life I want to be back in Reading. When people say that they make the best friends ever in college, they are telling the truth it is completely amazing. AND you're completely on your own...you don't have to ask permission to do anything. If you want to get up and go for a walk at 4 in the morning you can. I also have a job and stuff to do ALL the time and now I actually have to FIND a job. I have to try and smooze my way in. Oh the real world. I can definitely wait to go out there...haha
Well now that I got that out of my system. The fact still remains that I am at home in East Haddam, CT. I am leaving for Spain in a week. May 31st this girl and Natalie Bizzarro (she's on the bball team with me) will be in transit to probably one of the most amazing experiences EVER. This is another reason why I dont' want to be home haha there is SO much to do and I don't want to do any of it ...It's stressful going abroad haha I'm going to try and blog over there, but it'ss depend on the internet connection I have. I will not be bringing my laptop so I have to use a cafe or The Center's computers. Just to refresh some of your memories out there...I'm going to Spain with The Center for Cross-Cultural Study and I'll be located in Seville( it's in southern spain). The program is about 3 weeks long, Natalie and I will be taking one class and then we'll have the afternoons/ nights to ourselves...doing homework-rrrright haha Then after the programs over we're going to leave and take a bus to Granada and spend 2 nights in a hostel there THEN go to Malaga (I believe) for our last 2 nights then get a bus to the airport and sleep there. So this is a brief 411 version of the trip, I have a feeling some of it is going to change. If you have any questions about how this whole process of Studying Abroad works just hit me up with questions.
Alright I'm going to go watch Rent with my daddio...LOVE THIS Musical!
God Bless!
and HAPPY SUMMER

It's time to PUMP
Did you know that every 2 seconds and about 1 in 5 people entering a hospital need blood.
So today, May 2nd, 2006 I donated blood on campus. I've done it several times before even though it's not one of my favorite things to do. It's tooo amazing to think that you could save 3 lives by just your 1 pint of blood. The fact that I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for a blood transfusion is quite powerful. So it's the least I can do. Well today was an experience of donating blood unlike any other. I got my friend Ariel Trocino (she was in Tartuffe with me ;-) ) to donate with me and she has done it several times before and is a "pro". So we go through the screening and we're sitting in the chair hooking up and she gets "pumping" before me. We then get the idea that we want to race! GAME ON! I was squeezing the bally thing they give us like no tomorrow. Needless to say, THIS GIRL WON and i have TERRIBLE veins. They always have to poke around to get at mine, but the nurse today was amazing she got it first try. So Ariel owes me lunch :-) Our friend Carrissa was there too for moral support so she provided some nice hard core entertainment. We were pretty much laughing and causing a scene it's okay though. haha All in all it was a great time! If you have the chance I highly suggest you do it with some people and get a free lunch out of it ;-)
Alright well what else has been going on in the wonderful life of Kelly Cross? WELLLL, this past weekend was the production of Tartuffe! It went super well and was a blast!! I was able to get really close with the cast and we had a lot of good times! We had a good crowd every night too, so every production was fun! It was quite time consuming and made getting school work done and basketball post season pretty much impossible, but there is nothing I'd exchange that experience for....ever. Thank you cast and crew!!!!!!!!!!
I sent in my deposit for Spain this summer last week so Natalie and I are definitely going!! We leave May 31st from the JFK airport! I'm soo pumped! We're not traveling with the program (The Center for Cross-Cultural Study) so we're on our own which is good in a way because we'll have to be independent and get ourselves to the hotel in Spain all on our own. CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Alright well that's about it for now! Any questions about anything hit me up!
God Bless!!!
