Creamsicles Are Amazing in My Life

Did you know that Ice cream as a dairy delight was probably “discovered” in the 1600’s. The concept of flavored ices evolved, but no one is sure how. We do know that Charles I of England, or rather, his chef (either French or Italian), made ice cream a staple of the royal table. Depending on which version you read, either the chef had a secret recipe for ice cream and the king paid him a handsome reward to keep it a secret, or the chef was threatened with death if he divulged the recipe. Either way, once Chuck-One was beheaded in 1649, the chef blabbed. Soon nobility in Europe knew of, and enjoyed, “crème ice.

This past Sunday it was gorgeous! I went to a park nearby with some friends and was a "kid again". It was amazing. We went for a walk, hopped on rocks, got "sludge" on our shoes, through the frisbee...it was a good time. Then to top it off we got slushies on the way home. Yes it was a great day until I got back to my room and had to study hardcore for my spanish test the following morning. It was worth it!

Well to update on the general things going on in my life let's start with basketball...

Ok this is a very touchy subject...The championship was UCLA and FL...WOW.
ANYWAY...we've started our post season in basketball. We lift 4 days a week and play pickup which is always fun.

I haven't been able to do it with the team everyday because I am in TARTUFFE! Tartuffe is the next show we are doing here at Albright. It is a French comedy by Moliere. I am SOO excited about it! We have a director from New York who is doing it because Jeff Lentz, a professor here, who was going to direct it is doing an opera in Washington D.C. We have been having rehearsals everyday it's pretty intense. I am one of the maids in it and I am pumped because we get to dance! The show is April 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th. I will be filling you in more about it later.

I have been working a lot too. Working in admissions probably talking to many of you guys (prospective students) We have our Spring Open House THIS Saturday! I will be there and it is a great thing to come to especially if you're you're on the fence about a couple schools. It's good to check it out and ask any final questions.

Classes are going well we are starting to schedule classes for next fall. I think I'm going to have to declare a major soon...I'm getting nervous haha That's for another blog.

Oh one more thing....Natalie (who is on the basketball team) and I sent in our Spain Applications on Monday!!! We are really going to Spain this summer....I can't wait!!!!!!! We applied to go through The Center of Cross-Cultural Study. Basically we take 1 class then stay with a host family so we are completely emersed in the culture. It's going to be an amazing experience.

Alright I have to get off to rehearsal.

God Bless!!
