Mother Nature Has Her Own Agenda
Did You Know:
Romans invented the first popsicle
Hello Hello Hello!
So last night at approx. 9:00 p.m. E.S.T. on January 25th, 2006 we had a Thunder Storm complete with lightening. Yes in January we had a full fledge thunder storm. I thought mother nature was joking at first. We don't have any snow and we haven't had any snow since around mid December. What is going on?
Just wanted to throw that out there.
Today we have a game at Susquehanna...kind of a big deal. We're tied with them for 3rd place in the conference so a win tonight is imperative.
Also I got up early this morning and my 9 am class was cancelled! This was the first time my class was actually surprised cancelled. All the other times....um the one other time....the professor told us in advance. It was a very nice surprise. The only problem was I was wide awake and had class at 10 so i didn't know what to do with myself. Minor setback...i managed.
Okay that is it for now....toodles
God Bless!

Interim 2006 Goodbye/ Semester 2 HELLO
Did You Know:
Reindeer stay warm in the arctic cold by eating moss.
Alright well Interim is over. Educational Theater was 10x better than I thought it would be. I met some awesome people. My group was called the Leftovers. We kicked bootay. I was a dog in our class production- There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. I learned that Educational Theater is an actual field of study. Arizona and New York have the best Educational Theater Departments. Educational Theater is the branch of theater I want to work with. Albright Women's Basketball is kicking butt! I am going to Spain in 4 months. I may be going to Guatamala too! Second Semester is going to be really hard, but I am ready!
Yes a lot happened over interim and I have a lot to look forward to. I am quite excited. It is Sunday night, the night before the big second semester kickoff. I did absolutely, positively, NOTHING and it was glorious! This semester I am taking Bio (YES!), Spanish, a Sociology class called- Crime and Deviance, and a Theater class-Postmodern American Drama. Yes a lot of reading and writing papers this semester.
Alright well that is about it for now. This is a short, sweet, and simple entry since I'm going to continue to relax this evening and get mentally prepared for round 2.
Until next time!
God Bless!

Tis the Season
Hello Everyone!
Well I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! It came and went very quickly as it always does. I went back home in Connecticut for about 9 days before returning here on the 30th of December for basketball. It is good to be back. We are on a 6 game winning streak in basketball with a record of 7-4. We only won 5 games last year so this is stupendous! We have a game tonight too!
I am taking Educational Theater as my interim class...the one that I barely got into. It has been fantastic it is so much fun! Our final project is taking a children's story and turning it into a play. My group has chosen to do There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. It sounds pretty easy but each day we have to perform a piece of the play with guidelines. For example: The first day we had to use all 6 of us and create the environment our play is opening up in. We cannot have props or dialogue. So we had to make ourselves into a living room. 2 people in our group made a rocking chair, 3 made a fireplace, and we had a coat rack. You'd think that this would be impossible but it is not at all. It is so cool. The class is definitely forcing us all to think outside the box. Anyone can do it too. There is only one theater major in the class, me. I'm not even a huge theater person either, since I just got into it last year. So it is a lot of fun and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The only problem is it is very time consuming because we have to meet outside of class with our groups to figure our what we're doing for the next day in class.
I'm here during interim by myself my roomie is home. I miss her dearly. It is very weird being in the room by myself every night she'll be back soon enough.
Alright I apologize for not updating in awhile. After Thanksgiving Break things were unbelievably hectic. I survived finals! Thank goodness!
Alright until next time,
God Bless!
Something to munch on:
Giving blood many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at Stanford Hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes, I'll do it if it will save Liz." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?" Being young, the boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood.
