School is also over! What am I going to do over the summer? Well, I received an internship in New York at a Record label called Bad Boy Entertainment. For those that don’t know::: that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. (((Google him if u don’t know him!!!!)))) Since my major is Music Business and Business Admin. This is exactly what I want to do when I get older. Also, I am working in the A&R administration department. And this is my dream job!!!! I want to work in A&R dept. when I graduate…(that’s what I’m going to school for)… and working under Bad Boy is a dream come true!!!!

For the interview I was completely nervous I had no clue what to except! I dressed in a suit (Stacey Adams makes the best suits hehe) Making a first impression is the key, being very professional in the interview as well as, just being relaxed!

I am a true believer that dreams can come true! Nothing is impossible, in my eyes! When looking for colleges and that one you really want...GO FOR IT! If people are telling you, ‘you can’t, or it will never happen’ ..well., I’m telling you…YOU CAN!!! Just believe and have faith and all your dreams will come true!

On Monday was my birthday!!! I am finally 20! I was so surprised that so many people at Albright remembered it was my birthday! In the campus center, there was a sign that said “Happy Birthday Gregory Smith” I was like ahhhhhh! How exciting! O, on Monday was the Joseph E. Coleman Preview at Albright, and I went to the ‘lunch in’ the school was providing…Well, was I surprised or what! One admission counselor called me out!!! And everyone sung me Happy Birthday to ME!!!! It was awesome to see that the people from Albright didn’t forget. The President of the college was there, the acting dean of students, the director of admissions, the vice president of the school, etc…so many people where there and singing to me Happy Birthday! I had the biggest smile on my face! Hehe … Overall, Albright made me feel very special and I want to thank them all!!! :- ) (Albright Rocks!!!)

So awesome!!! The point I want to make is...if you have an idea or a dream GO 4 IT!!!! Don't let anyone STOP you or don't think it couldn't happen. With a simple idea I had, has now turned into REALITY!!!! It's such a good feeling inside!!!!

Basically, as you see, I never have any free time!!! The best advice for college is managing your time! Look at my schedule this is just for a Monday! (lol) Plan everything ahead including when to study, sleep, and hangout with friends. That is what I use to manage my busy life.

I LOVE JENNIFER HUDSON!! This is truly a STAR being born!!!

I went to see Dreamgirls in the movies on Christmas! And very time Jennifer sung people started CLAPPING and yelling b/c she was that awesome!!! I have never experienced a movie that was so POWERFUL!

Jennifer stole the show! She is extremely talented and God is going to keep blessing her! (WOW that voice is amazing)

People say that Beyonce was suppose to steal the show, What do you think about it?

I am looking for an internship this summer. I have completed/updated my resume and cover letters. I would LOVE to get an internship with Bad Boys Entertainment, Universal Records, Sony BMG, etc… there are so many! Most of my friends say it’s too early to be thinking about getting an internship. Well, I disagree with that ALL the way. I believe the more experience you have…the more marketable you will be once you graduate college.

I’m taking a winter class here at Albright! Wow! This class is a lot of fun by also a lot of work. American Drama Past is the name of the class and Dr. John Pankratz teaches it. It’s a history class mixed with a theatrical influence. This class is awesome! I want to recommend this class to all!

Well, I have to go and finish some homework!

It all started back in August before the students came back into Albright, I had a personal lunch meeting with Dr. Kemmerer (Acting Dean of Students) Dr. Kemmerer was the advisor of MEISA, the organization that I’m treasurer for, and I wanted to discuss some plans for the upcoming semester. One idea I had was to decrease the amount of illegal downloading on this campus. The number of students being caught is increasing throughout the semester. I asked myself, what could I do to help resolve this problem? In Music Law and Ethics, a class Dr. Kemmerer taught, she told us about this Legal Downloading site for College Campuses.

Once I had this meeting with Dr. Kemmerer, I brought up the idea of bringing this downloading service to our campus. She thought it was great idea and since I am apart of MEISA, it would be great that our organization follows through with it. Later during the school year, the Executive Board staff of MEISA, came together and did a lot of research on the downloading service as well as their competitors.

Speaking to some students about the downloading service they seem extremely excited about it! We do have the support of the Acting Dean of Students, I.T. services, and the Director of Community Standards. WHICH IS A PLUS!!! :-)

Just recently we presented a proposal to Student Government Association (SGA)! I haven’t heard a response back from them yet, but I'm thinking the best in our favor.

We might just have a downloading service for students to use for FREE!!!!!!!!! You will not have to pay a penny or a dime. This downloading Service only requires an Albright’s email addresses and you can be able to download any song you ever want. It will be yours to have! The catalog has about 1.5 millions songs!!! How awesome is that!!!!!
Once again, I have been working extremely hard on this project! I will continue to keep everyone updated on the results, hopefully everything will workout!!!

This group who wants to get discovered, started singing for Dark Child, a famous producer in the Music Industry, and towards the end you will see that they like the group. I am not sure if they got signed or not, but, I hope they DID!!!!

One day, I will be walking and people will come and start singing to me because they want to get signed to my record label....one day!
