Tuesday Question?

I’m having such a stressful day; yesterday I totally forgot that I had English homework. So, around 12 am I started working on it and got done around 5 am. I decided not to print it out until the morning. (Now, I have class at 9:30 in the morning, and I have to wake up around 8…to be prepared.) I went to bed basically with all my cloths on around 5:30. In the morning my alarm clock went off but I didn’t realize it so I fell back to sleep. My phone alarm kept going off as well, plus my mother was calling to see if I got up. (I love it!!! My mom still has to wake me up in the morning! She keeps calling until I answer the phone. Thanks MOM ☺) so, finally I answer the phone and push myself out of bed. I got to my computer and to try to print out my report, WELL! My printer starts acting up...it wouldn’t print! I was getting so heated because I have less then 30 minutes until class (and I’m never late) and my printer wasn’t working. I email my report to my friend and myself. I ask him he can print it from his computer and he tries but somehow the document couldn’t be read. (I don’t know) I through my cloths on, brush my teeth, put a hat on my head and ran out my building, to the computer lab. I got even more upset because it was raining and I forgot my umbrella upstairs (so I got wet!) I call my mom on the way and she tried to give me encouraging advice but I was so upset on being late to class, and my printer not working, I didn’t listen!! (Oops!!!) I got to the center and printed out my work then ran to class.

Question: Do you think I made it to class on time?

Just leave a comment below and within 2-3 days I will write another blog on the results!

I'm Back!!!

Last Semester went by so fast! I can’t believe that I’m almost done with my freshmen year! Ok, everyone is probably wondering HOW WAS HAWAII!!

Well, lets start from the beginning!!! (hehe) The night before I had to leave was crazy, my mom was running around getting everything together for me. If it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would have been prepared for this trip! (God Bless her) I was trying not to think about the flight… I was trying to concentrate on getting everything together! That night we had our family prayer together and I felt like crying because I’m the first to venture off! Usually my parents pray at night but for some reason it must have been on my mother’s heart to let my brother and sister pray. They both said the most unforgettable inspirational words to me! At that point I got a little “chocked” up!!! They all went to bed, and I decided to stay up because we were leaving at 4:30am. When we got to the airport we were late, I had 20 minutes until my planes leave (lol) and I didn’t even check in or park yet…(lol) God made away and someone really nice let me cut the line and get checked in! I felt bad cutting the line… but it was a long line, about 35-40 people ahead of me. Then I had to say “see ya later” to my parents. I only gave them a hug for each a second and I never showed my face to them. Now, your wondering “why” because I knew my mom was going to take it hard, if she saw how sad I looked. I was going through security and I turned back around and I smiled and whispered, “I’ll be back and I love you” and the next minute I was boarding the plane.

I had a window seat next to this really nice lady from Ohio! We had the best conversation on the plane ride there! I learned so much from her, she told me what to do when we land in San Francisco, CA. When we landed and I was in the airport she directed me to where I have to go. And then I gave her a big huge! (I’m such a DORK! LOL) I had about 3 hrs until I get on my next plane to Maui. So, I decided to get something to eat. I was looking at prices and everything was expensive. So I was like “pizza” is cheap so I ordered a small personal pan, and a “fruit punch” she rung me up and it came to $13.00. I was like “WHAT!!!!! This better be some good pizza!” she insured me that it is the best…(???) I gave it a try and she was right that pizza was amazing! I couldn’t even finish it! Well, I went back to sit at the terminal where my plane was departing at, and I met this one female there was looked young like me! And she was there by her self…so everyone knows how “friendly” I am, so I decided to talk to her. Later I found out that she was going to Maui, and taking the same class with me! I was so excited because we became instant friends. Also I saw Kelly B (another Blogger) and she introduced me to her friend Thea. Now, I feel pretty good because I starting to met new people. We boarded the plane, and again I had a window seat! The person I sat next to was awesome, I’m not lying we talked the whole way there!!! He lives in Maui, and told me where to go and the history behind Maui. I knew his whole background, and he knows about mine. He said he was a schoolteacher and I thought that was awesome, I’m sitting next to a schoolteacher!!! The flight there was so long because of the time difference. I felt like we were never going to get there. We finally landed around 6 or 7 (Maui time). I was excited to be in Maui, I stopped and thought “Thank you God” I immediately called my parents and told them that I landed safely. They were so happy to hear from me. I went to baggage claim to get my luggage, I was afraid that they might have lost my luggage from the changing from the planes, or if it didn’t make the plane because I was running so late. Thank God it was there! The first Hawaiian person I saw I took a picture with them, I was so excited, if you guys could have saw my face, it was glowing, I couldn’t stop smiling, and I was so hyper! I took a shuttle to the resort.

Luana Kai is the resort condo we stayed at. When I arrived it was dark, and all I wanted to do is see my room. I was rooming with 4 other guys (not including myself) walked in and 3 of my roommate were already there. They introduced themselves to me, and they already had their rooms picked out. I had the pick of the floor or the couch bed. Of course I took the couch bed. Classes began the next day. We went around and introduced our majors and ourselves. Everyone was Biology, Chemistry, Environmental majors, and I was like Music Business and Communication. (lol) Everyday we went out on the field for about 4 hours researching whales and their behaviors with interactions with boats. That was a cool experience watching the whales, and seeing their behaviors. We had class every night from 7-9 pm. It was a discussion class. It was awesome hearing my classmates’ views on certain topics.

We did have some free days and we went traveling over the island. I went to a tropical rain forest; I saw the seven secret pools, numerous waterfalls, etc… In general this was absolutely the best trip I ever been on. I had so much fun, I met so many nice people from all over America, the class opened my eyes to events happening around the world, and it helping me mature…to become the man I always dreamed to be. That was something I will never forget! The island is absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking!

I will try to post pictures of the island and myself on my blog. When I was in Maui all I kept thinking about was Albright and how I’m so glad that I made the right decision to come to ALBRIGHT! If you told me last year I was going to Maui, I would have never believed it but this school gives so much opportunists for their students. I can’t wait to study abroad and see the world.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to write to me! I would love to hear from you! Aloha!
Greg :-)
