A Minha Vida

On Saturday the design for the new science building was finally approved. This is great news for all students and faculty in science. I'm a chemistry major and i am very excited about the new science building. It is going to be a 4-story and about 41,000 sq.ft addition. This is going to make the new building a total of about 78,000 sq. ft. The addition is going to be built first and then the old building is going to be completely renovated. This project is going to take about 2 years. This is very exciting i can't wait to move into the new building. This project will make the science building a brand new state of the art building for scientific experimentation. Until next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.

Last night my girlfriend and I went to BINGO at the Campus Center. AC2 hosted the event. Albright's Bingo is nothing like what most people think ahen they hear the word, "bingo". Bingo is open to the whole campus and is always a lot of fun. The prizes are often very good. AC2 usually gets smaller items such as food, drinks, and $10 gift cards for Walmart. Often the bigger prizes include cameras, radios, chairs, etc. It is a lot of fun, we never miss a Bingo night. Until next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.

Tonight my girlfriend and I went to see Jim Karol. He appeared on shows like the Ellen show and the Jay Leno show. He was also in the movie Jackass Two. He performed magic tricks and some mental tricks. Some of the tricks were amazing. One of the tricks that he got a knife and cut his arm. The knife was fake but the crowd's reaction was hilarious. The show was very comedic and fun and I really enjoyed. It was a very fun experience. Until next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.

Last night my girlfriend and i went to the New Found Glory concert. The band played old and new songs and the crowd was wild. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. We did as well. Some of the band members even left the stage and ran up into a crowd of people watching and danced and sang with them. We had an awesome time. Until next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.

My girlfriend and i went to Casino Night here at Albright. Everyone recieved $300 in fake money. The games available were Black Jack, Poker, Roulette, and Seven. At the end of the event, everyone turned in their chips for tickets to win prizes. We played Black Jack and Roulette and lost all of our money. Thank God it wasn't REAL money! Last night I went with my girlfriend to see "Damian the Hypnotist". Damian asked for 20 volunteers to come on stage and be hypnotized. After they were hypnotized he made them do crazy things. He made them think they were hot, cold, and even on the Jerry Springer. He also made a freshman think that he was Britney Spears and that he was at a concert and that he had to perform the song "Oops I Did It Again". Another student was William Hung and he could only speak Chinese and he had to rap in Chinese. It was a very funny show and i would recommend shows like this show for future expirence events. Yesterday my girlfriend and I went to the Winter Ball at the Wyndham Hotel in downtown Reading. It was a fun night of eating, drinking (soda), dancing, and having a good time overall. It was a fun expirence and hosting dancing is something that Albright does alot. They are very enjoyable and my girlfriend and I always look foward to them. Last night my girlfriend and I went to the Magic show. This was no regular magic show. It was very bizzarre. There was flame throwing, tongue cutting, Mr. Happy Pants, and much much more. The climax of the evening was Mr. Happy Pants, a little Satanic puppet that is trying to take over the world by control humans mind. It was an overall good show. On Saturday I went to go see the Wedding Singer on Broadway with my girlfriend. This one the many expirence events that Albright Colege has to offer their students. The Wedding Singer starred comedian Steven Lynch as Robbie Hart and the American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis as Sammy. It was a very good show, it was funny and dramatic with some romance. It was my first time seeing a Broadway show and i really enjoyed it. After the play, my girlfrind and i went sightseeing in New York City. We went to Times Square and saw the huge screens nd the stores like the Toys R Us superstore. We also went to Macy's were the parade passes by. That store was humungous there had to be like 10 floors in that store. It felt like i was in a mall. It was nothing like the Macy's back home. Overall the trip was amazing not only did we get to see an amazing Broadway show we also got to see the amazing city of New York. Until next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.

This year's Homecoming Weekend was a good one. On Friday, my girlfriend and I went to the Campus mixer. It was alot of fun. There was music, dancing, and much much more. It was a very fun evening. On Saturday there was the float parade and a football game. Saturday night was the Homecoming Dance. It was alot of fun. There was some food, drinks, music, dancing, just a bunch of Albrightians having a good time. Overall it was a good Homecoming Weekend. I am looking foward to next year's Homecoming Weekend. At Albright College all students must go to 16 expirence events by the end of thier sophmore year in order to graduate. The mission of the Experience Program is to offer programming that highlights and emphasizes the linkages between liberal arts and cultural, intellectual, political and social life of the world outside the walls of the college. Today I went to my first expirence event, it was the Mike Super Magic and Illusion Show. This was a very intersting and enjoyable expirence event. I went with my friends and my girlfriend Naticia. I really enjoyed watching the amazing magic tricks happening right before my eyes. The audience was very involved through the whole show which was a fun expirence. There were some amazing tricks like when Mike levitated a girl in mid air. Another amazing trick was when he got a crushed empty can of soda and closed it uncrushed it and filled back up again with soda, it was amazing. My favorite was the vodoo ritual where Mike grabbed a student from the audience and he lit the doll hands on fire and when the student opened his hands there were burnt marks on his hands. He also poked the doll in the rear end and the student felt it and almost jumped out of his seat. Overall I gave this show a 10 out of 10. It was fun, entertaining, and the audience was always involved in the action. I enjoyed and i encorage those who haven't seen it to see it next year.
