Goodbye, Steve Irwin We Hardly Knew You

On the 4th of September the world lost someone very special, a man known as the "Crocodile Hunter". Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef, at Batt Reef, which is located off the coast of Port Douglas in Queensland. He was filming a series called The Ocean's Deadliest. Irwin was born in Essendon, Australia on Febuary 22, 1962. In his youth he worked on his parents zoo were he began to work with crocodiles. He later would get a job removing crocodiles from traps. Later he was hired to perform a crocodile wrestling event, this is were his career as the "Crocodile Hunter" began. Irwin was a big environmentalist in Australia. With his fame, Irwin became involved with politics trying to conserve the environment and the animals in it. Irwin and his wifed own and operate a zoo in Australia. In thier soo they would care for animals in it and animals that they would find on thier adventures. They would also take care of sick or hurt animals and nurse them back to good health. He had to children with Terri, his wife, a girl and a boy. Steve Irwin's fame could be noticed everywhere. He has been in the show south park and the simpsons. He had a movie that came out in 2001 and of course his tv show on the animal planet. We will never forget a great man, a animal lover, and a great environmentalist simply known as the "Crocodile Hunter". Rest in Peace Steve Irwin. Untill next time, this is Daniel Fonseca signing off.
