Juniors!!!!!
It is May 1, decision deadline, but we had almost 100 juniors and their families on campus Saturday. This makes us remember that college admissions doesn't stop. It is more than a twelve month process. While seniors are making their ultimate decisions, many juniors have been fully engaged in their college search for months if not more.
I commend those juniors that have already begun visiting colleges and asking questions of their potential suitors. I do warn you not to over do it. US News and World Report and other news channels have blown the college search process out of proportion. The basis is still trying to find the right fit for you. That is all. In the true sense it is a very simple process. The complexity comes from outside sources and a students own inner stresses. The colleges you are accepted into and the one you ultimately attend will not define you and I am a true believe that it really doesn't matter if you attend your first choice college or your fifth. If you go in with a positive attitude and an open mind you will receive the experience that you put into it.
So best of luck juniors as you embark or continue on your college search. I hope you enjoy it and we hope to see you here at Albright soon.
