Good, Bad, Ugly

In Long Island, NY right now. Been an interesting week. I'll work backwards from today. Tonight I had a great program at Yorktown High School in West Chester County. Some very good conversations and I hope to hear from all those students that I chatted with. During the day however, I had a little fender-bender in a shopping center parking lot. I gentlemen in a 7-series BMW packed out of a spot into my front bumper. No one was hurt and only small dent, but these are the things that you need to deal with when you live in your car for months at a time. Tonight I pulled into the Holiday Inn that I thought I had a reservation at, but found out that my online reservation was for tomorrow. So I ended up being sent to the Inn at East Wind in Wading River which is NICE! Sure this place goes for a nice buck during the summer months. Beats the heck out of a Holiday Inn.

Monday I spent over and hour on the PA Turnpike w/o moving. When 3 tractor trailers overturn in a construction zone traffic STOPS! Missed my visit at Hatboro Horsham, but got through just in time to talk to the girls at St. Basil. I also had a great group at Hamburg High School last week. Thanks for being a great group and salvaging my day. Conversations with people after driving around all day by your self are a great thing. It was just what I needed and I appreciated it.

I have a program in South Hampton tomorrow and then have to truck back for a meeting on campus at 7 pm. Hope the LIE isn't a parking lot! Might be wishful thinking:-)

Apps! Apps! They are piling up. I have to get back to the office to get to them.

Finally, one piece of advise. Prior to going into a college interview turn your cell phone off. Also instruct your parents to do the same. If someone forgets to follow this instruction do not answer your phone and have a conversation with someone during an interview. Just some friendly advice. It happens!!!!!!!!
