Your application is in. You've been accepted and soon you will be a college student! But what happens in between getting accepted and becoming a college student?
This is a time to really take a good look at all of the colleges you are looking at. We strongly encourage you to visit the Albright campus. Join us on March 8 or April 12 for one of our Spring Preview programs. These are days for accepted students to get an inside look at Albright and what to expect should you decide to attend.
Can't make one of those dates? SCHEDULE AN INDIVIDUAL VISIT to tour our campus, meet current students, talk with faculty and coaches, and speak directly with your admission counselor. If you have already visited campus, come back and see us again! We can arrange for you to attend classes and even stay over night. Just give us a call-1 (800) 252-1856 and we can assist you in setting up a visit.
If you and your family have not yet applied for financial aid and you wish to, you should file the FAFSA forms as soon after January 1, 2008, as possible. For more information on financial aid, click here. If you have already filled out the FAFSA form, you should be receiving a financial aid packet from Albright shortly. Please call us with any questions you may have.
Accepted students must enroll at Albright no later than May 1, 2008. Once you decide that Albright is the place for you, secure your spot in the class of 2012 by sending in your enrollment deposit of $200 along with your Enrollment Deposit Form that you received with your acceptance letter. Once we receive your deposit, you are guaranteed a spot in the incoming class!
About two weeks after submitting your deposit, you will receive your housing packet in the mail. (For those of you who have already deposited, housing packets will be mailed to you no earlier than April 1.) The packet will consist of a roommate preference card, a housing contract, a meal plan form, information about the Health Center and several health-related forms that need to be filled out by your doctor.
We encourage you to SEND YOUR INFORMATION IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! If we receive your housing information by June 14, you will have your roommate and residence hall assignments by Sneak Peek! July 12. If your information is received after June 14, the Housing Office will do their best to see that you have your assignments as soon as possible. Housing assignments are selected on a first come, first serve basis. The earlier you get your packets in, the better your chances are of living in the residence hall of your choice!
SNEAK PEAK is an opportunity to visit campus. Many students enjoy meeting their roommate at Sneak Peek. You can register for fall classes, have your ID photo taken, and meet with an academic adviser. If you are unable to attend Sneak Peak, you can register for classes by mail. Over the summer, you will receive course registration materials from the Registrar's Office. You will receive specific information on courses at that time.
