Rachel Liberatore, Writing Center Coordinator
Rachel Liberatore is the Writing Center coordinator
and an instructor of English composition at the college. She has a background
in teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and enjoys poetry, cultural and
gender studies, and science. Some of her areas of writing expertise include MLA
and APA style, using research sources appropriately and effectively, and
techniques for making substantive revisions to papers. She says, "Please stop
by my office if you would like to discuss how the Albright Writing Center can
help you achieve your writing goals."

Alura Benek is a junior and a history/secondary education/English major. She is a CRLA level 1 certified tutor and considers some of her writing strengths to be prewriting, brainstorming and creative writing. She says, “I am a proud Ravenclaw and generally encourage mention of such. All was well, and your papers will be too.”

Noel Diem is an English and secondary education major in her junior year. She is a CRLA level 1 certified tutor and this is her third year working at the center. She considers some of her writing strengths to be organizational and outlining skills, creative writing, analytical papers and descriptive papers. She also has experience with music, education and psychology papers. She says, “My sessions are generally high energy and interactive. Come visit for help with your papers or just to say hi!”

Rainer Floeter is a sophomore majoring in accounting, economics and finance and is working on his tutoring certification. He says, “I am a part of the swim team here at Albright, and writing has been a hobby of mine since I was a child. I look forward to helping out anyone who is struggling with an essay or just looking for some feedback.”

Sean Fuoti, the peer tutor manager for the Writing Center, is a CRLA level 1 certified tutor and an English/secondary education major. He considers some of his writing strengths to be literary analysis on works related to British and American authors as well as writing in the topics of philosophy, religion and history.

Alison Guss is a senior music business/business administration major and is working on her tutoring certification. She considers some of her writing strengths to be academic writing, particularly in the areas of business, religious studies or poetry. She says, “Creative writing is a favorite hobby as well, including prose and poetry. I welcome many subjects, as I enjoy the challenge of new ideas and topics. Feel free to bring any free writing outside of classes too that you may want feedback on. Looking forward to working and writing with you!”

Vasilia (Lia) Kambouroglos is a junior English major and a CRLA level 1 certified tutor. She says, “I enjoy helping others brainstorm for papers and reviewing drafts of papers. I have also worked with MLA frequently in my studies and would be happy to help with citations!”

Rachael Keefer is an English major and CRLA level 1 certified tutor working at the center for her second year. She considers some of her writing strengths to be writing and editing papers based on novels and other written works, brainstorming ideas and starting papers. She says, “I enjoy sessions that are very interactive, where the tutee is as involved as I am, so that we can create a better paper as a team.”

Emily Miller is a senior majoring in English and history while working towards her tutor certification. She particularly likes helping those with questions in those two fields with particular emphasis on European history and American military history. Other favorite areas of tutoring involve brainstorming to flesh out ideas and papers as well as helping others gain confidence in their writing skills. She says, "Writing is first and foremost an area where you can be expressive with relatively few barriers. It's nothing to be afraid of so don't worry, our sessions will be low stress.”

Cooper Pickren is a junior and a political science major. He
considers some of his writing strengths to be brainstorming, outlining, organizational
skills, and anything related to political science or history. He is from New
Jersey and is also an avid sports fan.

Shanna Salmon is a fashion and merchandizing major working on her tutoring certification. She considers some of her writing strengths to be MLA or Chicago style and essays based on art/fashion history, literary works or compare/contrast essays. She says, “As a fashion merchandising major, my attention to detail and imagery shines through my love for creative writing and poetry… Looking forward to meeting with you!”

Sheryl Smith is a junior co-concentrating in theatre and secondary English education, and she is a CRLA level 1 certified tutor. She considers some of her writing strengths to be brainstorming and literary analysis. She says, “I'm a big literature geek, especially when it comes to Austen and the Brontes, and gender studies fascinates me. I love making outlines, and I never take myself too seriously. I also have the best stickers and stamps around for great papers!”

Sean Snyder is a senior majoring in secondary education and history. He is a CRLA level 1 certified tutor, and this is his third year working at the center. He considers some of his writing strengths to be editing for sentence structure and introducing and concluding paragraphs. He says, “I enjoy playing sports and discussing them, history and America. My favorite TV show is ‘Law and Order SVU’ and my favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Phillies. I am very proficient with writing and look forward to helping you in the future.”

Erin Yanoviak is a sophomore biology major at Albright and is working on her tutoring certification. She considers her areas of writing strength to include lab reports and research papers in biology and chemistry as well as compare/contrast, persuasive and creative essays. She says, “My favorite sessions are ones that are interactive in which peers and I brainstorm ways to strengthen their written piece.”
