GEAC Minutes
August 28, 2009

Attendance: Al Cacicedo, Dan Falabella, Jennifer Koosed, Irene Langran, Kennon Rice, Joe Thomas; invited guests were Chris Hamann, Ian Rhile
Meeting Started at 8:30 AM

• Committee agreed to convene on Mondays at 4 PM starting Sept. 7th
• Discussion focused on how the GEAC Proposal was to be distributed to the faculty.
• It was determined that the EPC should have it for review for their Sept. 1st meeting, and the FEC for their Sept. 2nd meeting.
• Faculty should receive the proposal materials for informational purposes for the Sept. 9th meeting. Discussion and voting should take place at the Oct. 14th meeting.
• Comments directed to focusing on the proposal and not on the process of how GEAC got to this point.
• Joe Thomas handed out, and the committee discussed, a draft of the Estimated Impacts of the General Education Revision
