Early Childhood / Elementary

At Albright College, students do not earn a degree in education. Candidates for the Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Special Education certificates have two degree options:

Option One – Completion of full concentration for degree with addition of courses required for certification:

Courses in concentration area 10-12 units
Courses in certification 12 units
General studies 11-15 units
Total course units 33-39 units

Option Two – Combined program for degree - Co-concentration in education and degree concentration of the candidate’s choice:
Courses in Co-concentration 7 units
Courses in Education Co-concentration 7 units
Remaining course requirements for certification 5 units
General studies 11-15 units
Electives 0-2 units
Total course units 32-34 units
