Erin is an assistant dean of academic affairs and the director of the ALC. She joined the Albright community in August 2009 to lead and supervise a range of academic support services. In particular, the ALC coordinates the CRLA Level 1 Certification Peer Tutoring program, disability services, an academic recovery program for students on probation, and academic skill development opportunities. Since 2009, the ALC has been working to raise its visibility and outreach to all students, faculty and staff. The ALC works closely with students and faculty around classroom and academic concerns, and provides professional development to the community on various student success strategies. Erin has been working in academic services for more than a decade and believes it’s a gift to work with college students. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Elizabethtown College and a master’s degree from Boston College. Though she lived in Boston for nine years, Erin is originally from Scranton, Pa.
Rebecca Makowiecki, Secretary
Rebecca is the Secretary of the Academic Learning Center and she is excited to be part of such an important and dynamic office on campus. She's been with the ALC since June 2011, managing the front desk and office duties, as well as assisting with student, faculty, and community inquiries. Before starting at Albright, she attended Berks Technical Institute where she earned an Associates Degree. Rebecca grew up in the Reading area and finished her K-12 education all here on 13th Street. As a result, she is very familiar with the Albright Campus. As a child, Rebecca was a summer camper at Albright and later held the role of an Albright summer camp counselor. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the students of Albright and working with such a dedicated staff.
