Rebecca photo Rebecca Lemmel, Director

Rebecca is the director of the ALC. She joined the Albright Community in June 2012 and assists with the academic recovery program, the tutoring program, and general academic support by meeting with students one-on-one for academic consultation.  She believes that college can be an incredible, self-actualizing experience and she looks forward to helping students navigate their own experiences at college. She earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
   
Rebecca Rebecca Makowiecki '16, Administrative Assistant

Rebecca is the Administrative Assistant of the Academic Learning Center. She has been with the ALC since June 2011, managing the office and assisting with student, faculty, and community inquiries. Rebecca grew up in the Reading area and finished her K-12 education all here on 13th Street. She recently became an Albright Alum, earning her bachelor’s degree in applied psychology/organizational behavior (on 13th Street as well). She is very familiar with the Albright Campus and feels at home here. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know the students of Albright and working with such a dedicated staff.

Dr. Warfield, Academic Probation Coach

Dr. Warfield is a professor in the Education Department at Albright College holding degrees in Elementary, Early Childhood, and Special Education.   His experience in education has lasted for 44 years and has covered all age groups from Infants to Adults including students with normal and special need learning abilities.  During this time he has presented at many conferences in the United States, South America, and Mexico.  Dr. Warfield has been working in the Academic Learning Center since fall of 2013.

Professor Schott, Academic Probation Coach

Professor Schott teaches management and marketing courses with Albright’s Department of Business, Accounting and Economics. He has been at Albright for 20 years. He joined the ALC staff as a counselor in Fall 2014. His bachelor’s degree is in Business Administration (management and marketing) from the University of Richmond, and his MBA is from St. Joseph’s University.

He loves Albright, the ALC, talking about business, and helping students to achieve their inherent and complete potential.

Lauren is an English and secondary education major and has been a tutor since Spring 2017. She tutors Spanish and an FYS courses: SPA101-201, FYS100 (American Education). Lauren’s hometown is Oley, PA. She is a member of Concert Choir and the Albright Angels, a volunteer, reading tutor at 13th and Union Elementary, and a receptionist at the Campus Center Desk. Lauren enjoys tutoring because she loves helping people understand their potential and succeed in all aspects of learning.
   
    Angela Turczyn ‘19,  Student Office Assistant

Angela is a secondary education and mathematics major and has been a tutor since Spring 2017. She tutors mathematics, Spanish, psychology, and an FYS courses: MAT131-132, MAT250, SPA101-203, PSY100, FYS100 (American Education). Angela's hometown is Alburtis, PA. She is a member of AC-Squared, Lion Diplomats, Student Pennsylvania State Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and she is an Admissions Ambassador. She is a member of AC-Squared, Lion Diplomats, Student Pennsylvania State Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and she is an Admissions Ambassador.
