We will enhance and strengthen relationships among all College constituencies - students and parents, trustees, faculty, alumni, administration, retirees and community - and live our ideal of a diverse, vibrant community.
In a small college that prides itself on attention to the individual, people are our most important resource.
Our objectives are:
Create opportunities to develop, enhance, and nurture all of our people. We will continue to improve communication and establish opportunities for dialogue among all members of the Albright community.
Emphasize character-building in all that we teach.
Through problem-solving experiences, service learning opportunities, and curricular and co-curricular situations that demand critical thinking, we will foster in our students the strength of character and quality of imagination to exert a positive influence in every aspect of life.
Provide administration and staff frequent opportunities to improve skills, leadership abilities, and wellness.
Strengthen our collaborative culture as a distinctive part of our identity and a key aspect of the Albright experience. We will nurture our willingness to collaborate, to work in teams, and to cross boundaries and hierarchies. We will increase opportunities for collaboration in and outside of the classroom.
Involve the entire community in building the vision, mission, and goals of the College. Our dynamic strategic planning process will insure yearly reviews of our goals and objectives. That process ties the College budget to the attainment of those goals. As a bottom-up process, all constituencies will have a voice in developing everything from the College's mission statement to the individual yearly operational objectives through which we strive to achieve our mission.
Reward and recognize excellence among all members of the Albright community.
Excellence may be its own reward, but we wish to recognize and honor those in our community who demonstrate the qualities we value and foster, and who consistently achieve excellence. Our community will strive to be one in which praise is given freely, visibly, and often.
