Albright Sesquicentennial Heritage Chain

Albright Sesquicentennial Heritage Chain

When Albright College merged with Schuylkill College in 1929, President Warren F. Teel welded two sections of chain together in a ceremony on the field in Shirk Stadium.

It not only symbolized the merger of the two colleges, but celebrated the merging of all members of the Albright family–students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends– joined together like the links in a chain.

The creation of the Albright Sesquicentennial Heritage Chain will begin during the opening ceremony. Add your name to a link in the chain at any time during the 15-month-long Sesquicentennial Celebration, and become a part of our history!
